First time going solo and also first time to Ibiza

Long story short: I'm about to finish my first year at university. After years of intentionally avoiding people and shutting myself socially at school, I started 'experimenting' with socialising (yes, this was a new experience to me), making connections, going clubbing, etc. at university. I found out I really enjoy dance music and clubbing in general (my spotify playlist is full of dance music now) and I've made quite a few acquaintances at uni so far, though I none of them is close enough to be considered close friends. I still consider myself a bit shy on average, but I'm happy that I've gone this far.

After a near death experience not long ago, I felt my inner rebel was awakened and I started thinking about going somewhere on my own to really push myself out of my comfort zone, and Ibiza eventually came under my radar. Part of me was terrified given my past experience, but my other part was super excited for the exact same reasons: the uncertainty of being on my own on a party island and my lack of experience. The more anxious I feel and the more my friends advised me against doing it, the more I feel like 'Great, let's do this'.

What was your experience in Ibiza? Is it easy to meet new people and enjoy myself there? In case I can't find a group of people there, is it alright to go clubbing on my own? Lastly, is this whole thing a good idea for me or is it too much of a move?

Thanks a lot :)

Depends what sort of dance music your into as ibiza caters for pretty much everything dance. Yeh, plenty of folk travel to ibiza on there own. There is a thread on here about meeting people in Ibiza. Your be fine over there. Bit of advice I'd give is just be yourself and not pretend to be someone you aint.

In Ibiza the most people are very friendly and you can still get relationships to them. In my opinion nobody in IBIZA is alone, it’s also a good chance to get more "open" for people when you travel alone, get you more self-confidence for your live.

Do it! You will not regret it. Easy to meet people whether by the pool, out for drinks or clubbing. As Creedscat says be yourself, but be confident. Nothing brings people together like a good night out.

Don't overthink things - plenty of time for that when you have a wife and kids! First year at Uni - get out and enjoy yourself!
