Assuming that you are wanting to stay in San an, I would avoid the town centre like the plague. You are best looking for somewhere around the bay or sunset strip area. The gran sol is a good hotel in a quiet area but walking distance to pubs etc also the tarba is supposed to be good too.

Second the Gran Sol. A great base and quiet enough to relax when you want.

The biggest tip I can give you is avoid Playa Den Bossa like the plaque.

Shirley the best tip is to look through the accommodation offered on this site *Spotlight* then look at the user reviews, and then have a look on tripadvisor and get their views.

Sorted, and I gets my brownie points from Spotlight!

I'll add myself to the Gran Sol appreciation list, stayed there twice. However, the last few years I've been staying at the Orosol, next to the bus station. Unbelievable how close to the action of the West End you can be and not hear any of it.

Stayed here last week. Excellent hotel for the money. No1 on Trip Advisor as well. Cleanest place I have ever stayed.

Anyone stayed at El Coto Appt's in Cala Gracio?

Me and the missus fourth trip to the island, stayed in San An 1st time, too much! Headed around the bay next two times, stayed at Sol Pinet Playa, which we found very good!

Fancied a change this year, so trying El Coto on a friends recommendation. Got great T/A reviews.

thanks everyone
i love gran sol but they are pretty expensive when i want to go,
checked out Orosol but cant decide.

Any other tips? looking around €600 mark max for 10 days x

Funnily enough I'm there in September also, 19th, for a few closings. This'll be my 16th trip to Ibiza so I've stayed in a fair few hotels. I can honestly say I'll be staying at the Orosol on my 100th trip, if I live that long. Can't beat it for location, friendliness and cost, and personally I think it's a hidden gem so am in two minds about saying all this :)

They've added a spa room last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mzvklnb6yDw

If my budget rolled that far I'd be in there like a shot.

Ibiza Sun apts look nice and chilled, off main thoroughfares but close enough to the beach and more riotous places :-)

Expensive tho - will review early sept
