Finding Hotel whilst over in ibiza

Are there places where you can just turn up and book a room and are they pricey if so ?
and if anyone has done it , what would be your thoughts on it ?

You trying to be spontaneous?
You could just book from an Internet cafe when you're in transit... that way at least you'd know where you're going!

you can just turn up at hotel if you wish.which would be best as internet bookings do 3 days stay or on some sites.costs your looking at 45 to 60 euro a night inc meals but some just do room only or b & b.which resort you looking at staying at.

i bet others can help you more if you know dates your planning on going.more the better to help you.

yea like fairly soonish spontaneous is good,
San An is where i wanna go ,
like it wouldn't have to be like brilliant accommodation ya know just once i have somewhere to sleep.

i can understand if you were on say, a tour of spain by car and you came across a place that you didn't know about that looked fantastic, but if you are coming to san antonio where you have to book your flight in advance, then why not book your hotel via the internet at the same time. believe me, traipsing round with a case in the heat looking for somewhere decent sure ain't no fun.

Yea understandable haha .
Thought it could be cheaper but what do I know ha .
Thanks for your input tho .
Rack rates (the rate for people who walk in off the streets) are almost always more expensive than when you book ahead of time. Sometimes substantially more.

Use Spotlight. I know for a fact that, for the hotel where I traditionally stay, their price is at a good discount to the rack rate.

Can't argue with using "Spotlight" although their coverage of Formentera is weak. Great in Ibiza though!!
The hotels I have stayed at have always shown the "real" prices on display - ie the turn-up-and-book prices, and they are waaay bigger than either Spotlight are, or even booking directly.

Sure, some hotels can be cheap because they are emptyish (even in July/Aug) but do you know where they are?

May/early June and Sept I may well turn up and haggle, but only if I have light baggage (as mentioned above).

If you like it risky, it would make sense not to make reservation and just try to find a room that's cheap and available. I've made that mistake once but not in Ibiza and I had my own car with me so getting from hotel to hotel with baggage was easy.
