Fiesta in D'en Bossa

Having been for several years to the Don Toni in D'en Bossa with Portland we were surprised to find that in '08 Portland will not be including any of the D'en Bossa Fiesta hotels in their range....

When we contacted Fiesta directly we were informed that the Fiesta hotels in D'en Bossa (with the exception of the Palladium) would be marketed exclusively in Spain and Scandinavia, and not through the influential TUI Travel Group.

Must say that this came of no surprise as when we stayed in September of this year the hotel was at least 75% Spanish clientel....we have noticed the amount of Spanish guests has been creeping up steadily over the last four Septembers we have stayed in the D'on Toni and they are almost all younger groups.

We will endeavour to attempt to book directly with Fiesta although flights may well be a problem for us.

Hi,
You can still book the Club Don Toni,Don Toni Hotel and the Palm Beach through Thomsons brochures and also on the Thomson website!!!.The Algarb and the Bahamas have been sold to an Italian group GPS? who are to take over the running of these two hotels from May.

Hi ,

I found out that Fiesta had sold these two hotels in December after booking to stay at the Bahamas in June 08 (booked in Sept 07)

I emailed Fiesta about it as I couldn't see them on Thomson or Fiesta anymore.

We were eventually officially informed of the change by Thomson, only 2 weeks ago, after asking them since December.

We changed to the Don Toni hotel as we wanted a Fiesta property and we are meeting 2 other families. They also changed to Don Toni.

Thomson were unable to tell us what facilities there will be at the Bahamas ie; entertainment and sports facilities, plus we usually upgrade to at least AI on drinks, then go off out to town after the bar closes.
Thomson weren't sure on this either!!

Anyway as I say they are still selling both the Bahamas and Algarb on their website.

The info on the hotels isnt very clear though as the Algarb is in the drop down box as Fiesta Algarb and the Bahamas is Bahamas Hotel then in the hotel info it says this is a Fiesta hotel etc etc use of fiestaland. Then in a small yellow strip only visible if u actuall ytry to book it says.............this hotel no longer forms part of the fiesta group!

woody algarb are you still going?

need to know if tui are still letting people stay in the algarb? or moving them to other fiesta hotels in area.its woody?.just need to know if any one knows me thats all.lots of us used to meet up around late may into june.if your not staying there then where are you going to be.
i may try algarb.diy which i always do.only thing is i will not get my points.

only thing is now with tui/thomas cook buying the likes of mytravel first choice.i am a bit low on getting a cheap flight.looks like there will not be many people going to ibiza this year.it means less flights from east mids going to ibiza.....
