Fiesta del Agua dress code?

Just read:"A quick thought from Ben Johnson (based on personal experience ;-) - Don't try and get into the Fiesta del Agua (water party) with swimming shorts or trunks - you probably won't get let in. You can of course cunningly wear them underneath your trousers/dress"What do people wear to this night? I assume not jeans as theyd get soaked, but not shorts either? N wear does every1 put ther money/mobiles when the pit fills with water? Or is there not that much water? Any help much appreciated!

You can put bags in like a cloakroom. You are aloud to waer shorts I'm sure although I went to one in the day-like a private one and everyone just wore their swimwear. And yes the water comes up high to your waist and it is impossible to keep anything dry

ok thanks 4 that. But are mobiles n money safe in the cloakroom thing or is it best just not taking em? Flying tonight!!!

Bags seem quite safe but it's best just to take as little as poss then you dont have to worry about it. Have fun! I'm so jealous!
