Ferry from Majorca

This summer the wife and I are trying a few days in major a before Ibiza. Rather than get the flight across we are going to take the ferry (she hates flying). Due to meeting friends we're getting the balearia ferry - the 10am Friday departure.
What I'm wondering is if it is worth paying extra for the first class seats or just spend time in the lobby bar. And do they have a deck area to get some sun?

We done it years ago I takes around 4 hrs,dont remember 1 class option but getting the ferry back after leaving amnesia couple hours before wasn't a wise move...rough sea and around half the passengers were in the same condition as us.... we renamed it the vomit comet
