Well that's it for another year, and what a great one it was...
Wed 13th Sept:
Flew out from Glasgow on the late night flight with the plan of meeting up with friends in Pacha when we arrived. Lots of drinks at the airport and Champagne on the plane. Unfortunately the plane was delayed so ended up getting to our hotel for 4am Decided to call it a night and get up bright and early for the next day8)
Stayed in the Fiesta Algarb in PDB, great sea views, cool air-conditioned room, and nice food in the restaurant8) Only a five min walk from Bora Bora and Space to8)
Thurs 14th Sept:
Up nice and early then spent the day relaxing catching some rays at Bora Bora. God I love this place; by 3pm it was packed with the usual dancing on tables Left Bora then headed to San An to meet up with 12 mates who arrived on the Sat. After some drinks, straight to Amnesia for Cream
Great night spent mostly on the terrace. Jon Carter and Axwell were superb. The main room was far too busy but still managed to catch some of Oakenfold (when BK came on it was terrace time again ) Bumped into Barbie and Tom on the terrace for a wee dance
When we left, jumped onto the same bus as Barbie and Tom...next thing I know we'd jumped on the wrong bus and were in San An harbour (I blame Sar!) So, bussed it back to Barbie's in PDB for some after party mixyness. Next thing I know it's 7pm, I'm lying fully clothed on a sun lounger at Bora all by myself with people dancing round me and all the other loungers packed away God knows.....
Fri 15th Sept:
My mate Gary and I headed into Ibiza town at night to hit some of the bars. Ended up getting absolutely soaked walking round to Pacha for Pete Tong. Good night, spoiled by the completely arrogant and unfriendly crowd. Know from now on to avoid Pacha at weekends! Still, really good night that ended up with us leaving at 7am.
Sat 16th Sept:
Up by 11am then straight to Bora all day (loved having it on my doorstep!) Spent the day chilling, swimming in the sea, and topping up the tan...nice and relaxed.
At night, just had a wander round PDB, a quick walk through Bora, then bed for an early night in preperation for Sunday8)
Sun 17th Sept:
Managed to get up early enough for a couple of hours round the pool8) Then, my bro and his grilfriend touched down, as well as 20 mates on a stag week, and three mates from Glasgow
All met up down Bora, then headed to WLS @ Space Great great day; spent the early part from 3pm till 12pm on the Sunset terrace, and met up with Barbie, Tom, Robo and Rachel for some dancin in the sun action Also briefly met Spunkymonkey and Anthony8) Sunset terrace close with Energy 52 'Cafe Del Mar'...what a moment.8)
Thought that the main terrace was toooo busy, so ended up leaving around 2am. Also 'peaked' a bit early, so was flagging by 2ish. Fantastic time though8)
Mon 18th Sept:
Spent the day at Bora Bora, where about 15 of us ended up getting on it very early Great tunes (Red Carpet 'Alright'...brought back memories of last year!) Went into Ibiza town around 11ish to head to Base Bar then K-ube. Really good laugh had by all (there was 28 of us in K-ube) before all heading to Pacha for Roger Sanchez Excellent set, perfect mix of music including his very own Lost8)
Good crowd for Pacha to8) Left around 6am to head back to PDB
Tues 19th Sept:
Spent the day at my brothers pool relaxing and catching some rays8) At night, we headed into Ibiza Town for a look around the shops and bars. Met up with lots of different groups from Aberdeen who were over at the same time, and by this stage were all in a bit of a mess (one guy I know ended up in a huge villa at a wedding, with free booze and **** for anyone that wanted!
By 12pm, we decided to head up to the top of the Old Town...what a hike and what a view from the top at night! Also never knew how many nice restaurants were up there, what a magnificent place
Wed 20th Sept:
Final day spent relaxing at Bora Bora wishing the week wasn't coming to an end Said our goodbye's to the huge amount of friends over at the same time 8)
At night we headed over to Savannha in San An for dinner and a sunset (felt like we needed to fit in one sunset or it would be Ibiza ) Lovely food, great music, and very sad to be leaving.
Arrived home yesterday after a four hour drive through torrential rain in Glasgow, then had to host a client event at night, then work today
In Summary:
Our best year so far! Loved staying in PDB with Bora, Space etc only a five min walk away. Also paced it much better this year with the right amount of sunbathing and clubbing. Overdid it last year and came back a suicidal mess
Definitely a huge 'electro' sound to most of the music the year, but loved it. Heard the perfect mix of old and new tunes every day.
Ibiza Town blew us away again with its mix of people, buildings, nice restaurants and bars8) 8)
I really don't understand how people can go in July/August....the clubs were verging on too busy at this time of year. Very good crowd like usual in September I have to add to8) 8)
I've probably missed quite a bit out, but that's Ibiza for you See lots of you in June and September next year
