Pls could someone give me an idea of what sort of music felix plays ? I understand its got an electroy-rock sort of edge - could someone tell me a few tracks he plays in his current set or better still a link for me to d/l.
Im going to space on Sept 17 with 8 other lads who last trip to Ibiza was the early 90's when hardcore/early renaissance was on the menu so we're a bit out of touch.

Whilst were on the felix topic could somenone identify the track played below at his recent space set ? If this is a flavour of whats to come we'll be more than happy.

Felix is the Daddy, last time I saw him @ Space I think there's little bits of me still scattered over the dancefloor after I exploded so many times :lol: His mixing can leave a lot to be desired but for diiirrrrtyyy electro tune selection you can't fault him.
 
sounds cool. ive heard he plays blur song 2 & nirvana. Do you think he's likely to play this sort of stuff at space (even if he's playing 12-3am in the discoteca, as prophesized by Dr Mike)? Can you remember any other choons he played when you last heard or has the memory been left on the dancefloor along with your mind !!

can anyone else help with the teack playing on the youtube clip??

Yep it will be that kind of thing, everytime I've seen him his sets have been in that diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrttttttttyyy electro kind of thing, one song you're guaranteed to hear is Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall :D Rest of the braincells are left in pieces on the dancefloor :lol: Honestly he suits the inside of Space so much, I for one can't wait for the 17th :D

Yes. He plays the same stuff every set. Expect La Rock by Vitalic too. ;)

His mixing is very questionable but if you're after a party set featuring loads of big tracks, you'll love it.
 
ive heard felix in the discoteca. absolutely farkin brilliant. quite hard and lots and lots of his own stuff.
 
thanks for the replies. it sounds like its gonna be a corker. not sure about jeff mills later on that night but will defo be going nuts to felix.
we'll also be at pacha on friday and then see how far we can push ourselves at dc10 then onto cocoon closing for the hardcore - though not sure if the music policy is gonna suit us - is it trendy minimal / german techno at dc10 & cocoon ??
 
I to shall be in Space on the 17th for Felix:p

Saw him inside two years ago and it still goes down as my favourite set ever:p (Well, apart from Guetta in Space last year8O :lol: :p )
 
Felix is the man, i've seen him soo many times and i love his stuff.

He gets the crowd going every time. Hard beats.. dirty electro..cant beat it. :) :) :) :)

He's def one of my favs to go see. Him and Sasha and Oakie

cheers dialf4flo, i thought i recognised the vocalist (Mr Gahan) - if felix spins this in september i'll go absolutely loopy - stand clear !!
 
just to throw one in the works.............i've also seen felix loads and i'd say on about 30-40% of occassions his sets have ranked amongst the most crap/weird/boring i've heard.

aside from his dubious mixing, on several times he has just twatted about with the volume and the frequencies for minutes on end, like a bedroom DJ when they first get their decks and mixer.

worst ever was when he played "disco babes from outer space vs don't call me baby" for 20 minutes.8O 8O :roll:

60%+ of the time he has been excellent8) 8)
 
I hate to say it too....but we saw him at space this year and he bored me to tears! Not waht i expected at all! It was just noise that didn't seem to go anywhere. But we all have different tastes!
