Both are playing at separate venues here in San Diego this Saturday Night... which one should I pick?

Both totally different styles I know, but I have never seen either. Just looking for a few opinions. Thanks a lot! :P

its no contest.....felix da housecat blew the roof off space in ibiza the 2 times i saw him!

(discoteque  )

proper quality electro beats and maybe some new order to :D

enjoy.

its electro mainly but he pops in the odd bit techno,....expect some randoms like new order - blue monday and purhapse some random remix of micheal jackson,...u may think 8O but trust me with him it works,...well ok it may have been the space atmosphere to but hey.

NU NRG  8O

well if you like trance, then nu nrg could do it for you. but i have to admit that felix is a legend!

it's hard to answer this question since it all depends on the music style u prefer.

if u r more into trance than choose Nu-NRG
if u r more into electro/house choose Felix Da Housecat

obvious, isn't it?

Thanks for all the great help as usual, everyone.

I might have been swayed towards NU NRG because of my love for PvD. But I like all kinds of dance music..... from Armin van Buuren to Eric Morillo.... I like euphoric, beautiful trance as well as deep, sexy or funky house. I am going to try and swing around to both sets, but I think I am going to start out with Felix. I probably won't want to leave by the sound of it! :P

Can you describe Felix's style? I heard a CD of his the other day and it sounded kinda.... well... "noisy." LOL.

"Noisy" :lol: I like it!

The stuff he plays when he djs and his own production are worlds apart. His recent album, 'Delvin Dazzle and the Neon Fever' was very 80s synth pop more so even than his previous one to that, the superb 'Kittenz and Thee Glitz'.

I love his production, even the recent less dancey stuff but sadly I've always been a tad disappointed by his dj sets. He plays some great tracks but then so can anyone. His mixing is all over the shop mainly because he's drunk as a skunk when he takes to the decks which is not big nor clever. I think he's trading on his reputation just a tad.

That aside, he's still infinitely better than Nu Nrg but that's mainly because I find his a bit pish to be honest. I hate that trancey techno.

It was entertainment. He played a bunch of totally groovy, funked-out stuff that I loved, and then one track that sounded awful and I just didn't understand it LOL. Repeat cycle. I can totally see what you mean, Clara. Plus, he was a little wobbly (lol) which I think was pretty unprofessional, but it was kinda funny too. I am glad I went, I had a super fun time and stayed till almost the end. I just went in to it with an open mind so that when he did play the weirdo tracks I could just giggle to myself and not cringe. I made the right choice though... talked to some people who saw NU NRG.... they said it was beautiful and melodic for about the first 45 minutes... then it turned totally hard. Not in to the jack-hammering candy-raver crap. :P
