Whats your favorite tune by mr Laurent Garnier?

I'm sure a lot of people will say 'the man with the red face' but I think his best is probably 'Last tribute to the 20th century'.

It was featured on his album 'Unreasonable Behaviour' in 2000ish. I think its one of the most amazing deep tracks i've ever heard. I've never got bored of it even though it is in essence quite a simple track. Its a tribute to the history of house, seems a bit cliche now because so many tracks do it but this one manages to keep things tasteful and is a real homage to the roots :)

Then again, ya'll prob think thats a load of BS....

amazing album!!! thanks dam0, you've reminded me to whack it on full volume non stop for the whole weekend!

:P

I am very partial to a bit of 'The Man With The Red Face'.

A tribute to poppers d'ya reckon?

He released a little known record back in 1995 called 'Club Traxx EP.'

Bueller...?

Well there's 2 superb amospheric techno cuts on there:

1) Aquarius
2) Dance To The Music

Ooh you've gotta hear 'em.

And Crispy Bacon is just a classic, gonna go put it on now.

I have heard so much about this guy, I am going to buy an album of his this week. Which one is better... Unreasonable Behaviour or Excess Baggae?

Excess luggage. Its simply brilliant. so many different moods, and style's of music.

although his album unreasonable behaviour is good, i don't think it does him justice. seeing him live is special. :D

Excess Baggage is highly recommended by me also. I've only got the 1st 3 CDs, but they're absolutely amazing.

I really like CD1; ACCCIIIIIDDDDD!!! :P :P :P

the mix at rex club which is part of the other two is quality. techno at its finest with a few classics thrown in and lil louis french kiss, and donna summer's love is love at the end.

in fact all 5 of the cds are brill. i love the mix in detroit.

Dang it, I went to Tower today and all they had was Unreasonable Behaviour. So I ordered Excess Luggage off of Amazon.com. Let you know when it gets here, I am sure I will be blown away.

I bought Markus Schulz's Coldharbour Sessions 2004 instead, as I witnessed his talents last weekend. It is more mellow than the set I saw, but still a sweet album.
