I don't want to waste my time dilly-dallying on some slow boat. I was told just to show up and gt the next boat.. however, i want to make sure i get the speed boat.

what time should I be at the port by?

Just replied to you in Open Chat, the fast boats are really regular, there's more than one company that runs a fast boat and they generally go about every half hour, the longest I've ever had to wait for boat is 10 mins.

We always get a boat about 9ish - it means getting up early but it's so worth getting to Formentera early and having a full day there.

thanks stephen and barbie... i do plan on getting up early that day... i want the full day to frolick in formentera!:)

Just out of intrest, any idea of the average price for getting to Formentera? Are the price's all fixed the same or are they different? Cheer's

It varies hugely. If you get the slow, glass-bottomed ones from Figueretas, you can get a return for about 15 euro but you hardly get any time in Formentera. We got the fastest one and paid about 30-odd Euro each for a return but it was worth paying the extra imo.

Blimey 30 euro's8O thank's Clara, you've just made my holiday even more expensive:lol: but then if one has no choice then also one, i suppose must pay:(. Cheer's

Anyone ever got the boat from San An? Am I better off just getting to Ibiza town & catching boat from there?

There are cheaper ones. I think there's one that takes 60 minutes that costs about 20 euro for a return but we just decided to go for the quicker one so we had less time on the sea and more in Formentera. There's another company that takes about 35 minutes and costs about 25 euro.

The best thing to do is to go to the ferry terminal building and look at the timetables to see which one suits you best. The prices are displayed too. Obviously you can't get the cheapest and slowest glass-bottom ones from there though.

Thank's Clara,

i understand your reasons for taking a faster boat, & who can blame you especially when time is of importance;) I'll certain'ly be taking your sound advise on board, as yes i'll be checking out the different ferry operator time's & fares.

aclamacion:)

Also altho the slow boat from Figuretes is much cheaper you're very restricted with times so you'll only get a few hours in Formentera, whereas the more expensive tickets you have much more flexibility when you return so you can stay there until the last ferry back if you want ;)

Thank's Barbie,

that is a good point you made, as i for getting the maximum amount of time available whilst their, for complete decontraction of the mind & bodyl;). Ibiza might have it's club's but Formentera i hope still guard's it' peaceful tranquility:D .

It is soooo peaceful, we always spend a day over there in the middle of all the clubbing mayhem and I come back feeling like I've spent a week in a spa I'm so chilled and relaxed ;)

Barbie, you make it sound just magic8) 8) and i know what you mean about feeling so relaxed after a day's to visit Formentera, as it had the same affect on myself nearly twenty yrs ago:D .

Where about's in the Ibiza Port are the ferrys? Closeest to the Old Town, or further down the road near to El Divino?

Cheers,
Martyn.

Pretty much over the road from where the McDonalds is on the road down to Pacha.

fast?

Fastest or shortest?

If you get the boat at the jetty on PDB/Figeuretas beach it only takes 40-45 mins. So it's not the fastest, but is it the shortest crossing? Only 14 euros if I remember correctly.
