FAO: Ibiza residents

I may have mentioned before that we are considering hiring a car for a couple or three days this year so we can get about a bit more.

Questions: -

1) What's the situation with parking in Ibiza town - is it meter based?
(I should know this but never really took notice  )

2) Can you recommend 3/4 'not to miss' places to visit during the day?

3) Can you recommend a good place to hire from - possibly in or near Figurettas?

Thanks :D

And on a serious note?

Come on residents, here's your chance to drag us away from those vile, commercial, uninteresting places we hang out.

go to Aguas Blancas and get your willy out

You can do that at Formentera.

Or even at Bora Bora - 2 girls did next to me 8O (well not their willies obviously)

P.S. This was supposed to be a serious thread!

You've probably gone and scared Stephen etc off now

OK, serious head on.

drive up towards San Juan in the centre of the island. north of San Antoni is very pretty too. What do you want andy? pretty scenery? interesting things to do? beaches? hills? excellent out of the way restaurants?

btw, I will never drive into Ibiza Town ever, ever again. The streets are far to narrow and they are full of tourists in cars they dont give a $hit about and parking is a nightmare. I'm know locals are fine (Stephen does it every day) but it's not for me.

Somewhere to go in the day really so i suppose scenery/beaches.

Don't wanna be driving at night for obvious reasons.

Drew,

Why not just "getting lost" in the island? I mean, take the car and just drive following your instinct?

That's what i did last year and boy did i discover some amazing areas and views far away from the known crouded places. recommended!

www.carjet.com have been the cheapest i have found. they are like a agent and so search other companies. last year they arranged our car through hiper rent a car which is situated just outside of the airport.

hiper have their own site www.hiperrentacar.com or you could try www.balaericrentacar.com, but i persoanlly wouldnt go anywhere other than carjet, insurance, no excess all included in the price. air con is a must, worth the extra money!!!

i found parking in ibiza town easy, we always managed to find a large carparks to leave it in during the day.
