Hi there! 
Well, it was actually quite ok.
My friends and I have made our peace with not attending anything but we have to admit it was a little weird anyway.
Especially when guests from his family started asking us "so aren´t you coming with us back to his apartment" and we were like whispering..."we weren´t invited". The family thought that was very weird. A person even flew in from Austria and not even she was invited to anything afterwards..
Nevertheless the ceremony was nice, despite the fact that it only takes 2,5 minutes to promise another person the rest of your life at city hall
There were so many couples waiting, and the "funny" thing was that the most of them were girls from thailand or the Phillipines and men from denmark. The wedding dude (dont know the word for that lol* ) came out, shouted "number 2 - mr. xx and miss xxx please step forward" and the couples were sittingthere holding a number in their hands, like as if they were in the bank or waiting to get served, lol* 
But we were the largest group of maybe 25 people, and my friends and I went for coffee and had a big laugh about the whole deal. The groom kept saying to us in between it all "I know I owe you all a big party" - so I guess he wants to have a party, but also senses that his friends weren´t happy about it all....
nevertheless it was a fine, sunny day, they looked so happy and again<: thats what it´s all about.
