fans of "lost" or monster movies.....

Anyone been to see Shrooms yet?

Supposed to be going tomorrow but dont know if I can be arsed - its too cold to leave the house now on a night...... :?:?:?:?

What a pile of rubbish Cloverfield is though...

Was really looking forward to it as well.

(Best bit was at the end when a bloke sitting in the cinema they filmed it in says "was that it? what a pile of ****") :lol::lol::lol::lol:

My mates went to see Shrooms and said it was just pants really....... :lol::lol::lol:

I think I will wait til its on DVD.

Actually I have a complaint to make about going to the Cinema - has anyone noticed just how feckin expensive it is these days???

I booked 2 tickets on line and picked nice wide seats with more legroom and it was a shade under £20 - then about £10 on drinks/hotdogs/sweets etc. :spank:

I cant see how cinemas are still in business when you can can sit at home in the comfort of your own lounge - watch Sky Box Office or order DVDs off the net and it will cost you £3 (not including the beer/wine/sundries that may be needed for the viewing experience).

I dont mind paying for entertainment when I have too, but that is really taking the piss in my book - £20 to watch a film whilst being really uncomfortable, having someone stand on your feet whilst up and down for the toilet/popcorn/whatever seems to be a bloody liberty!!!

.........rant over.... thanks for listening....:lol:

that'll be me then..... :lol::lol::lol::lol:

I refuse to go again until they lower their prices or at least kit out the cinema so that's its worth the hefty cost...

ie sofa's or parker knoll's side tables - proper glasses and waitress service....

This is why I cannot stand those anti-piracy adverts at the beginning of DVDs, especially that one you can't fast-forward, 'You wouldn't steal a car etc'. I get annoyed when I think of some fat sweaty coked-up millionaire film producer conning people with fake reviews and sneaky trailers into paying their hard-earned cash to see sh1te like Gigli or somesuch on the only night out they can afford that week, while he gets all uppity about someone 'stealing' a film. I know it's against the law, and to be honest I never watch pirates because the quality is shocking, and I enjoy the 'cinema experience', but it just strikes me there are some serious double standards being applied by people who don't even need the flaming money.

That is all.
