On two occasions I was given a fake ten euro note by taxi drivers last week. I guess they saw me as an easy target at 6am in the morning feeling a little fragile. The notes are easy to spot when you're in a sober state of mind. Anyone else had similar experiences this year?
Be careful not to accidentally try to spend them and ditch ASAP ... being in possession can lead to a whole heap of trouble even if you found yourself unwittingly in that position !
Managed to get rid of one when buying tickets, still got the other as we couldn't get rid of it. Surely they wouldn't throw the book of you for being given the odd fake tenner?
