Fake baby

Did anyone see this on tv last night?

I watched it on and off and couldn't believe what I was seeing  I'd be very interested to see what a psychologist thought about it all.

Weird!

boss was telling me all about it.

i had an image of some dribbling old lady sat in a rocking chair with a bonnet on singing a lullaby to a bundle of cloth.

sounds like they rank along side the peeps with the "real dolls"

Was this the case that they had a fake baby which was a life like doll as they couldnt have their own children? I read the write up on it in the Sun and it sounded very odd, wasnt sure if I fancied it or not

I thought it would be that sort of thing but not really. One woman was a grandmother whose daughter had gone to live in Oz and taken the grandson with her. She had a doll made up to look like the grandson when he was a baby. It was soooooooooooo weird. Even her husband wasn't happy about it. She was taking it out and pushing it along in a big fancy pram looking all proud :eek::eek:

Another woman had gone with her mother to "take delivery" of another doll (she had lots) from the states. She spent TWO DAYS bonding with it in a hotel room before she realised it had a crack in its head!! She'd spent money on a pram, designer clothes, the lot. She didn't want her own children because she couldn't guarantee they wouldn't behave how she wanted.

It was odd - I just didn't get it at all.

This sounds revolting I have to say, very very odd behaviour

What happens when the said grandson grows up and no longer looks like a baby

Surely this is not the reason to have children!:eek:

Mental stuff, I had visions of mental old ladies although the creator seemed normal and everything and was quite fit.

So... uh... how much do these fake babies cost?

I missed that bit  It was just awful. I have to say I didn't feel sorry for these women I just thought they were really, really odd. Why don't these people just get a nice puppy to pamper

If anyone spies this on a torrent or even one of those flash video sites upload a link, wouldn't mind seeing this weirdness...
