FairFX Prepaid Card vs Cash

Evening all.

Just a quicky, has anyone used the FairFX Prepaid Card in Ibiza in cash points anywhere?

Debating whether to get one and take that with the majority of my money on rather than taking a wedge of cash as per usual. No fee for loading and only £1.50 per withdrawal along with a tidy rate it seems the business. [No I don't work for them!].

Also, where are the cash points in PDB? Been over there numerous times but never stayed there or hunted for a cash point - know it roughly, so a guide making use of landmarks would be most appreciated!

One month til' I touch down in Ibiza, cannot wait!

I used CaxtonFX last year for the first time, and I can't say a bad word about them. We had little cash with us, and two cards for the account should one get lost or stolen.
They had the best exchange rate.
No loading fee
No fee for paying in Europe
No withdrawal fee (at least there wasn't at BBVA cash points)

Thanks mate - I'm assuming all was fine with cash points etc. Know where one is in PDB? First time staying the sun-rise side of the island!
 
there is a lot of cash points in pdb.one next to to fag shop.one near the bowling alley.one near the betacar hire up from kfc.bank on corner near the algarb.one near shops arcoss road from space.so cannot miss them.a few more but at this time of night i cannot think.

depends which hotel you in ok.let me know.i;ll tell you then.

Thanks ever so much for the above. Staying at the Ebano apartments. Have heard good things, so fingers crossed!
 
so you need to walk out of atps.turn left walk down road untill you come to the junction for which you can turn left for main strip,across road is a fag shop.to the left is a atm machine.not sure though i did not walk up the street atps are on last year.but there used to be a box with a atm in.across road just down from atps.plus there is one on the corner where the carhire bike hire shop is more to the right of shop.

if they are not working.get on main strip road walk up till you see the bowling alley.there is one just there.

I was going to use a eurocard as well as no fees and can take money out without the hassle of having my actual bank card. I assume these cards can be used to withdraw cash throughout the island?

Stayed in the Ebano last year, nice apartments.

Not the Ritz but tidy, no clowns running around blasting N-trance off the balcony all day/night, pool and pool area was cleaning daily. Friendly staff. Very good value for money. 5 minute walk from Bora Bora.

I'm in the Jet in June but will be back in the Ebano in July with the other half.

Yeah, I used them in a few different places, Sta Eularlia, Ibiza Town, and San An. Wasn't charged by the ones I used, which I think were all BBVA, others may charge a Euro or two to withdraw though.
