I'm an Ibiza virgin and heading out to the Island in early September '04 for 2 weeks. I'm going with 2 mates but we're a little concerned about how much money we're going to need. I've heard it's quite expensive out there and we wanna be prepared!

Any advice? Thanks!

Depends where you are planning to stay and what you want to do when you're there?

Please give some more info and we'll try and give you some guidance ;)

Staying in San Antonio Bay but want to experience the nightlife as much as poss! We have heard about the club passes that you get before you go, which sound good but we don't want to be doing that every night. We also want to go on a few excursions - see the island a bit.

Without going into all the details i would say £1500-£2000 should see you right (spending money that is)

You can do it for less of course, but you wanna enjoy yourself don't you!

It's always best to buy club tickets from the various outlets rather than on the door, but be careful where you buy them.

Thanks for the advice! That's a lot of cash but I was thinking it might be in the region of £1500. This may be the only time I can ever afford a holiday like this so god damn it, I am gonna enjoy myself!

Well, take what you can afford, but take a credit card as a back up just in case cos you don't wanna come back having missed out.

If you want to keep your spending to a minimum, try doing some cheap nights in between the clubs.

There are loads of cheap places to eat and drink in Ibiza as well as the more expensive places.

Spend some time reading this messageboard, you'll pick up loads of tips.

Good luck.

:D

I went once and went to a club every night for 14 nights, i spent about 1,500 and had an amazing time

Last year i went with my girlfriend spent 1,000 only went to clubsabout 6 nights out of 14 but also checked out nice resturants etc.. still had just as good time

Thanks very much for all your help, much appreciated! We are going to try and see a bit of the island too so providing all goes to plan, we should be ok money wise. I get paid mid holiday so as long as cash machines are at hand, I shouldn't need a credit card!

Once again, cheers guys! I'm sure I'll be back to chat before we go!

You're all stars - that was really helpful, thanks Robo! I should be able to scrimp and save the money in 4 months. I'm counting the days!

September 8th - ages away! We wanna go now but at least we get a bit of sun here then fly out when England starts getting wintery!

As long as it's still hot, I don't mind! Why is it the best time?

Clubbing wise the crowd are the most up for it, there still packed, and thats when the closing parties begin.

the weather will still be hot, maybe not so hot night as say july and august, but it'll be hot and sunny during the day... ;)

I don't want the sticky heat - went to Greece last year and that was horrendously hot!

Any closing parties you would recommend? As you know, we're on a budget and want to catch the best nights.

Notice you're going September time to - whereabouts you staying?

its a matter of personal opinon - i would reccomend the carl cox closing at space. But do you like techno music?

i would also recomend the welovesundays@space closing party.

Have a look at the clubbing calender to see what is going on where you girls are their.

i'm staying in cala Llonga (family resort) i'm staying there because thats where my parent's apartment is :D
