So its been a few years since I was last in Ibiza, i will be there this year on a shoestring budget. I havent decided where to stay yet (either San Antonio or Figueretas). I am looking for a relaxing laid back holiday with a few trips to nice beaches (recommendations welcome) a few trips to Space, Pacha and DC10 and most likely a few nights by the sunset strip. I was wondering if anyone could give me a wee update on how much things cost. Im particulalrly interetsed in the following:

Bus fares from figueretes to ibiza
Bus fares from ibiza to San An
Disco bus
Meals in half decent restaurants
Day to day food costs

As I imagine I will have to eat in my apartment a fair amount I was wondering where the best places to pick up food to cook myself are? When I have stayed in San An in the past I went to a food market a short walk from Cala des moro - is there an equivalent in Figueretes or a good supermarket somewhere?

Thanks

plenty of supermarkets and cheap eats around figueretas, its changed alot there in the last few years with a big north african population now so good kebabs, little cafes and great smoke too.8)

bus fare from san antonio to ibiza is 1.30 euros....

there's a nice wee pizza takeaway next door to IL Vaticano restaurant ( on the street that leads down to Mambo ).... i got a great pizza and a big portion of spicy wedges there 2 weeks ago for 13 euro..

you could also get your food in Eroski supermarket in San Antonio as it's nice and cheap there.... you can get a full bottle of vodka for 4 euro.. :D

They must have reduced the fare then, because it was 1.85 last year....

Is it different in the winter to the summer? He did say his fare was quite recent, I paid 1.85ish in August and thought it was a bit cheap to but with less tourists on the island maybe they treat them with low fares in the winter as we make the cost up in the summer?

Sounds like Figueretas would be the most ideal for you to be in honest.

Stayed there the last 3 times and really believe it is an ideal location from what I want from a base, and judging by your specifications above ^^^ I think it'd be the most practical for you too.

Very short taxi ride to Pacha or Space (even walkable if you're up for it!)

Personally I would bother getting a bus from Figueretas to Ibiza Town. Either walk it - about 10mins - or hop on the water taxi (although it costs slightly more than the bus fare from Ibiza Town - San An)

There's several Spar supermarkets there, and a fair variety of reasonably priced restaurants - nothing too glam, but equally nothing that will break the bank. (If you're really on the scrimp, and don't want any culture, there's even a 24hr McDonald's within strolling distance!)

I am happy to go to the sunset strip once a visit, so I guess it really depends on how often you plan on watching the Sunset in your 9 day stay.

If it's more than twice, then perhaps you should considering San An, but I recommend Figueretas! :)

hi guys

as a family we have been to San An bay for the last 5 years, done loads of trips from our base at marinaplaya aparthotel, but to our great shame never ventured over to ibiza town, we would really like to this year could you please tell me, where the bus for ibiza town leaves from and what number is it. would appreciate day and night times please if possible. thanks for any help in advance.

i'm almost certain the bus i got only a few weeks ago from san antonio to ibiza town was 1.30 euro... i could be wrong though.... the ibiza town to airport bus is definitely still 3 euro though... :)
