I shall just start this off quickly whilst i have a while to wait @ Majorca Airport.
My original trip was meant to be from 13th - 17th but after a small accident (fractured skull) i was air lifted to Majorca for a luxury €900 a night stay at their Intensive Care Unit.

I still love the island but after this last painful trip i think i´ll have to be giving it a miss for a while now

Luckily for me having my Blue EU card with me meant that all costs were covered by the British Government and didn´t have to face an €8000 plus bill when i get back.

I shall review my 2days/nights i did have when i finally get home. :)

Really sorry to hear that. Really sucks.

Hope you're OK and that the 1st couple of days were worth the subsequent pain ... did you have travel insurance or was this all done on the E1-11 successor (forget what it's called !!)

Arrived at the Airport around 5ish and waited outside for the Bus to San An. Only cost me €4 and as a solo traveler is a complete bargain, quite quick and dropped me off 2 mins from my hotel. :)

Stayed at the Azuline Galfi again which is just down the road from Ibiza Rocks bar (heading away from San An). Cost €25 a night which got me a single room (double bed), cold breakfast, air con included which i think is a complete bargain. Hotel was pretty quiet with mainly mid 20s couples or 40+couples.

Had no real plans for the first night although going to Full on Ferry closing was at the back of my mind. In the end i arranged to meet up with Neenee and tiktok off here and we decided to hit the west end at 9 for some early drinks. Also met up with two guys tiktok had met @Tiesto closing the night before too. All of us had a decent laugh heading to a few diff bars before we decided to head to Eden for Clubland as it was free. Although not every ones fav music the whole night was a good laugh and i think i ended up rolling in about 5:30.

Wednesday 14/09

I woke up at 11:30 just enough time to grab a shower and get ready to head to Itaca to meet up for the Driftwood Closing Boat party @12 with Aly & Fila, Solarstone and Sam Mitcham. €45 for a 4 hour boat trip up north with a free drink and BBQ chucked in and some quality trance Djs. It was an absolutely fantastic afternoon. A very well organised event and can see that coming back and doing very big things next year with the guys that run it. Headed back to the hotel and sat by the pool for the rest of the afternoon before grabbing a quick powernap and heading out to meet up with Neenee again.

Headed around the West End again going in Tropi for a good while watching the Champs Leaue, Listening to Trance before i was due to head to Be @ Space. Got to Space just before 2 and caught the end of Emerys set and the place was massive rocking. I think trance really does work well there although i know many disagree. The rest of the night was out of this world with Schulz and AVB both smashing out amazing sets. Awesome closing Party :D

:eek::cry: Whilst walking back to try and grab a taxi with some others back to San An disaster struck when i tripped and hit the back off my head & back on the floor quite hard.

Thursday 16/09

I woke up about 4pm with an oxygen mask on, tube down my throat and 6 different drips attached to me with two needles also in my stomach
Quickly came around and was told I'd been airlifted to Majorca as their Hospital specializes in neurology and was the best place for my head injury. Felt alot better after one full day there but had to remain in intensive care until yesterday to just ensure i'd be ok to fly home...which i was, and now I am. Strange Ibiza trip but enjoyed the time i did speand doing what i wanted :)

my god that sounds like a nightmare so what injuries did you sustain??
best of luck with the recovery

Fractured my skull for the second time in 6 months being the main injury. My lower back is also giving me a bit of grief too. Got scans at the hospital tomorrow to reveal all so I shall know the full outcome then. I think I'll be ok fingers crossed.

Really sorry to hear about your unfortunate events :(.

I know how much I look forward to Ibiza so no doubt you do.

Its good to know that you were well looked after and hope its not put you off for future visits.

Safe

P

You know what, we all take for granted that the holiday will pass without incident, then you hear of things like this :(

Second time in 6 months, did you agrivate the old injury, hence the seriousness?

Sorry to hear about that dude, glad you're ok tho, it could have been a hell of alot worse. Good luck with your recovery !!

Bless you for not dwelling on what happened and still managed to give a good review about the time u were on the island :D

Wishing you a speedy recovery hun xx

Aggravated the old injury and a bit of an addition to it as well.:spank:

Considering i was in Intensive Care abroad for a week the NHS don't seem all that fussed.
Finally got my 'Emergency Doctors' appointment....at 17:20 tonight.
I've been back for two full days.

Review was on here quickly as I have alot of free time atm
No doubt will be signed off for around another 2/3 weeks this evening too.

Worst part of all this is that the Winter UK party season is kicking off this weekend and IMHO it seems to be a huge year. Massive lineups appearing everywhere in the country. Hope i can still attend a few :)

Thanks for the well wishes guys. Very much appreciated x

Blimey, could be an episode of Sun, Sea and A&E. Guess it was lucky you were with other people when it happened - presumably they sorted things out to get help for you ?

 - sounds about par for the course.. you probably got much better looked after in Spain than you would have done here.

At least you got some fun in before the misfortune hit - hope you recover speedily and looking on the bright side a bit more time off work can have its up sides :)

Damn man, sorry to hear this! Hope it does heal and swiftly!
Would be ace to bump in to you at some of the upcoming winter parties if you do do any of them.

Good luck with the scan, let us all know how it goes.
