If you had had lunch at my school for 7 years I tell you you would feel sick just thinking on school dinner :?
 
You must have went to a decent school, I have nightmares regarding the food they used to serve at mine..
 
I used to love this mince in gravy stuff they used to do at our junior school, and the mash, we used to have 2 ice cream scoops of mash. and I used to love the chocolate custard they used to do too, yum yum.

you got me craving now drew :x

Nailsea Grove Junior School! :D Bearing in mind I was at Junior school only 10 years ago so maybe the dinners had changed from back in your days!!! :lol: ;)
 
:? I wasnt allowed to stay for school dinners as I only lived 5 mins away from our school, besides, mum used to be at home on a lunch time and insisted she could cook better, healthier food - so never got a chance to experience this school dinner malarky, have I missed out????

Cheese Pin Wheels and Mint Green Custard??? 8O Surely not on the same plate?

Anyway back in my school days it would have been powdered egg and we still wrote on slates! :lol:
 
The food court in the Trafford Centre Selfridges smells like school dinners - yummy! I was a proper fat kid who went back for seconds - even on cheese flan day :D
 
In Australia our scholastic culinary range was limited to sandwiches most days, although Monday was meat pie & sauce day mmmmmm..

Any aussies here might remember:

Devon & tomato sauce sandwiches - staple diet, makes me cringe at what I was eating in my formative years
Chicken Cackles - like twisties but pointless
Redskins - an orthodontist's worst nightmare
Toobs - toobiliscious!

Of course I think I'm the only regular aussie on here (apart from discoplayer) so you probably don't have a clue what I'm on about...
