I'm looking at organising a trip to Paris for my parents in October... cheapest way possible, they don't care much about accomodation, they are fine with budget hotels, but not in too much of a dodgy area. they'd like to stay 3 nights.

Anyone know of any others? They are going to london in October ... is there anything I should look at, like staying a weekend makes it cheaper / more expensive?
