I went here recently but didn't manage to find the beach, just went to (almost) the bottom of some massive cliffs. We parked in the little car park at the end of the village and walked down some winding roads which were rocky or shingle for about half an hour. We passed a massive terracotta villa or hotel in the forest. It seemed as though the bottom was just rocks but I couldn't see properly through the bushes and I gave up in the end as I was too scared to look over any edges and we went back up (also realised we'd left our water in the moped). What I'm trying to find out is should we have kept on going OR should we have taken a right straight after the car park? Or were we even in the wrong place completely?

after that terracotta villa you should have gone left and you'd have ended up on a small path that takes you down to the beach. 30mins walking maybe from the villa (more on the way up)

We went left after the villa and continued down these winding rocky roads then we got to an open part about 15 mins after the villa which could either go left or right, or up a small part of cliff straight on (which I'm assuming just went down). I went down a short way to the left and it seemed like all I could see was rocks through the bushes but I couldn't see right to the edge as I was scared of getting close .. I'm thinking we should have continued down that way is that right?

ah I think you went too far down then. at some point you have to look out for a small path that veers off to the left. If I remember correctly it's in one of those sharp turns. this one will eventually take you down into es portitxol

Thanks! hopefully we will get there next time with better directions :)
