Hiya, me and hubby are off to Es Cana in a couple of weeks, we have never been before, just wondered what it was like. We are staying at the Parasio Beach Hotel, does anyone know what its like, its a half board hotel but we so like to eat out too, are there plenty of eating places xxx

it's very much a family oriented resort with lots of show bars with live music and entertainment. there are lots of eating places which tend to cater for the family market with lots of british specialities though you will find the odd local place. for a really nice spanish meal i'd recommend the restaurant (not the snack bar) attached to the es can playa apartments. we had lunch there a couple of weeks ago and it was excellent.

try to see more of the island too

You don't make it clear if its your first time in Ibza or just Es Cana, anyway my advice to anyone visiting the Island would be for even two days hire car. There is so much to see and so much of the best bits of Ibiza are off the beaten track. You have to try the local fish restaurant at Sa Caleta, the little red beach beside it is perfect for a pre dinner ramble it is so romantic - but you couldn't get there with out a car. The villages of Santa Agnes, San Jose and San Rafel are all worth a road trip. A car gives you freedom and will let you explore so much more. Enjoy

Es Cana is the only place my Dad said he would ever go back to (and he went a few times). It's a lovely part of the island. Catch the mini-train to Santa Eualia as its not that far.

Enjoy your trip

Almost my second home - was there couple of weeks ago and back in another six. Try my sites below and if you have any queries, email me and I will try and help

Es Cana was my first resort. I went there in 02 and stayed for 2 weeks. Went back last year for a day.

Lovely resort. Beautiful surroundings. Beach a bit crowded, but still fine. One place you must eat is the jacaranda, lovely restaurant/bar.

Fairly compact. You could probably walk it in 15 minutes but great place, very lively.
