es calo playa apartments

It depends what you want from your holiday! I heard some terrible reviews before i went. I heard of stuff going missing and all sorts!!

I use my apartment as somewhere to crash out when i get in, and to have a shower. So as long as the room is clean and it has a shower, i dont care.:p

But if your looking for a relaxing stay around the pool in a classy hotel, THEN DONT book the es calo playa. The rooms are small and hot, the hotel bar is crappy. and to get to the pool, you have to go outside walk down some alley (mind the dog poo) and your there! Oh, there are no sun beds and it is used by local kids to cool down!8O

But if your like me and you just want somewhere to get changed and you dont give a F$ck then it will be ok, It has a great location which is good. Any more info dont be afraid to ask!

i think it had been refurbed when i was there, the room was clean and basic!

and it did have air con as well!:p

I wouldnt worry bout the pool, as a stone throw away is coastline and kanya etc all wiv their own pools!:p
 
Stayed there In 04 I too had heard nothing but bad reviews, is it still Escapades?

Rooms are not hot at all if you figure out the air con! Dont expect the Ritz but its a decent enough place to crash right by sunset strip.

The pool is crap but if you take a walk just down the road you'll find pools for other hotels that are nicer (try the Poniente. thats where im styin this year used their pool all the time in 04)

Didnt really hear about any thefts just be sensible though lock valuables in safety deposit boxes etc.

You'll have a great time dont worry about bad reviews
 
Stayed there in 2003 and well moved after one week :roll: we were told that people were there to sleep in the nights so it was a problem that we arrived late home in the mornings after clubbing (we didn't make a lot of noise at all) how much noise can 2 girls make :)

Well you must have done something, i didnt get back before 7 am most nights and even had a slanging match with the owner as I was trying to help a girl back who had been spiked and he wouldn't give me the key and I didnt get moved
 
both of those reviews have actually made me feel a bit better about the place :)

basic and air con is all i require and i want to be able to kip through the day without it being too noisy so fingers crossed..........:p

stayed in es calo playa apartments and they do the job just fine,right near sunset strip which was perfect for pool etc and only few mins walk into san an. pretty quiet too for a bit of sleep when required. pool was shocking and only looked at it once. feeling brave then try the crazy fire escape ladder bridge type thing between your apartments and next door!!!you'll see what i mean!8)
