Erick Morillo & Subliminal

I've never been to an event with Erick Morillo and I was thinking of giving Subliminal a go this year. How is the crowd and the music? Is it much different than Roger Sanchez' Release Yourself parties?
 
in my opinion, there is no comparison ...

They are both busy, busy nights, maybe Morillo´s is slightly busier but not by too much.

But musically, i think the Release Yourself is the best house night in Ibiza and it oozes quality to me. I´m not a big fan of Morillo´s but he draws in a big crowd every week so he´s obviously doing something right :)

There is no DJ who can rock a room like him. Been going to Ibiza for ten years and never miss a Subliminal Night.
Not everyones taste in music but there is no doubt he is an entertainer!!

The only down side to Pacha is it gets to busy:cry:

And by the way I'm the same age:):)
 
I used to love Morillo mate, 99-2003 YES

Since then he's juts bored the crap outta me.

I've been going to Ibiza for 10 too, do we get an award? :arrow:
 
Last time I saw Morillo was in BED in Sheffield and the whole set was so dark and tough it merged into 1 song!!! but technically, as a DJ he is great (even though apparently alot of the production within his sets is pre-programmed).

Leeds love parade when he put 'Everybody be Somebody' by Ruffnecks over the top of pasilda - worth an award on its own!

I think i'll be going this year @ Pacha, reckon it will be good. 8)8)8)

That Love Parade mix still remains one of the best mixes i have heard, technically brilliant and tune after tune.

Since then though, he does bore me too... just seems to play crowd pleasers and subliminal tracks as opposed to what he used to do...

still a wicked night though, but theres better out there

I hope we get a big badge with 10 on it, which entitles you free entry into any club, free drinks and after party's with Pacha girls on either arm;)

I do have to admit when he goes into his dark part of the set I do go and get a drink but his is still an entertainer.
 
Since you two have been going for 10 years fancy shedding some light on how the Island has changed over that time? Was it alot crazier and carefree with 24hr partying back in the day as ibiza seems quite tame now with all these rules coming in
 
Erick Morillo at TAO

I dont know how many of you in this blog live or are going to be in the States but Erick is going to be at TAO Las Vegas for Memorial Day weekend May 25th Sunday. Should be an amazing night.

I'm at work so can't go into major detail but it's not as much fun as it was 98-2003 time :cry:

some friends are going there - to escape miami´s "memorial day weekend" :-)

Went 2 weeks ago, was probably my worst night in Ibiza. The club got way to rammed, you couldnt move let alone dance. Got fed up with being pushed and barged every 30 seconds so left after an hour
 
last wednesday in july... thought it was amazing, completely agenst wot i like in music (mega trance fan) but just thought the atmosphere was electric and hes a proper entertainer
 
i was there 20th August and had my best Pacha Yet ...and thats after about 8 visits ...my other half loves Morillo and i was delighted Dubfire was on the bill as well ..... brilliant night with brilliant crowd!!! ;)
