Found this ****in wicked video on YouTube of Prydz playing at his Tonight opening party at Amnesia:D

It so gets you in the mood for Ibiza and I couldn't think of anything else that sums up Ibiza better than this, it's a great advert for anyone who's never been and is going for a first time. Awsome uplifing tune, amazing club with amzing lights and decor and a crowd that is just going completly nuts - check out the crowd at 1.00 in :D

Anyway, don't suppose anyone knows what the tune is do they? It's immense!!:D

Tell me about it. That video has had me super excited for over a month! Just bought my tickets for Tuesday night too :D

Tune is his new one, unreleased as yet. Some are saying it's called "Tonight"

nice one. Oh god tell me about it, i only stumbled on it today and first time I played it it gave me goosebumps like I'd been shocked by 1000 volts :D

Just an amazing little video! Can't wait for his 6 hour set next week defo all over that. And I hope to god he plays that tune I think its my new favorite 8)

Its not called 'tonight' I don't think. I quick internet search finds another track under that name by prydzy

That clip almost makes me want to go see him, and then you look at how dead it is in other vids of the night "tonight" when even the dancers look bored
Each to their own though, the first time I heard pjanoo at cream in 08 the place went mental and was bouncing but I dont feel it anymore. Defo a nice vid though, very clever editing ;)

The vids on YouTube that haven't been edited, I'm not bashing anyone who wants to go but it will be nothing like the euphoria portrayed in that video  I wasn't revering to the amount of people either I'm sure prydz pulls in a full house but even my g/f laughed and said the dancer looked bored and she doesn't even know who prydz is lol.

i suppose its personal opinion. not been to tonight but saw him at creamfields last weekend and cream amnesia last year and in terms of atmosphere and euphoria id say he hands down beats anyone I've saw in a while!

totally each to there own i suppose but his productions from the past few years are immense. technically i think he's spot on and with his cubed and epic shows the visuals make everything click into place! I guess I'm a biased fan, but if prog house is your thing the guys the best on the planet this year!

on the topic of bored dancers Pacha dancers are hilarious to watch. so stern and angry!

Lol at the dancers must happen all over at one time or another. I agree the visuals look very nice, maybe I'll give him another go in time but not while it's on a Tuesday(if it is) as I couldn't miss cox 8)
It's good to debate it without arguing though, as I think tomorrow when I get up I may search for a recent set to listen to, make a change from the techno I've been obsessed with as of late.

I've always been a huge fan on Prydz...seen him at many festivals and club nights all over the place but i was anything but impressed with him at Cream last year.
I think his productions and EPIC show have stepped it up a gear now though. Can't wait for the 26th at Ally Pally.

I know this isn't probably the correct thread to have a moan about this - i think I've seen one in 'parties and clubs' that might be more suitable - but I just wanted to express my deep disappointment in his night this year at Cream.

I went to his widely advertised '6 hour set' night on the 9th August and it was just nicely filled, not too packed with enough room to dance without someone constantly standing on your toes. Prydz came on at about half 2 - great - and played ok for the first hour or so - which will do I suppose considering he's going to be playing all night...right...?....wrong! He only ****ing played for about an hour and a half / 2 hours max!!!! I thought he was suppose to be doing a 6 hour set??!!!!!:x

Just as I was settling into his set and he was playing a few decent tunes he raises his hands, claps and waves to the crowd and walks off. You could just feel the whole room think 'what the ****, I thought he was meant to be playing for 6 hours'???:?
If anyone has any information on why this was I'd love to know.

On a positive note he did play his new tune '2night' featured in the link I posted and I danced my little ass off when that came on.

Even though the night was a big disappointment I still love Prydz and he will always be one of the best producers out there for me.

disappointment in his night this year at Cream.

at amnesia you mean.

that sucks that he didnt play the 6hours i would not ahve been a happy bunny, who played after him?
no doubt hes a great dj and producer but he does seem a bit unreliable with cancelling gigs etc

yea sorry I meant at Amnesia.

I was well titsed off. I even passed on going to see Tiesto the night before because i wanted to see Prydz do a 6 hour set. Loads of my friends went to Priviledge and said it was brilliant. If I'd of known he was going to do a 90 minute set I wouldn't of bothered going and gone to Tiesto instead.

Cant remember who else was on with him but they weren't anything special and the main room just had some dub step / dnb djs on who were crap as well.

In the end i felt very disappointed as I had kinda built my hopes up based on that clip I found of the opening party. What an idiot :spank:

I was at this night too and was also a bit disappointed. He did only play for an hour and a half in the end which seemed no time at all. The lineup change was really frustrating having built myself up all summer for hearing a lot of his older tunes in the 6 hours. Instead of that I was treated to a remix of Blue Monday into a remix of Sweet Dreams in the middle of his set. That can only be described as a cheese sandwich!

Still love Prydz a lot but wasn't his best outing for me.

On the plus side I thought M.A.N.D.Y afterwards were amazing having not had them down as much from their productions. Really really great rolling techno. Good to see Julio Bashmore there as well, played a good warmup. Didn't stick around for Gesaffelstein but from what I gather it would have been lairy electro.

I can only assume they felt the need to keep Dubstep / DnB on the lineup that week at the last minute just to sell enough tickets. And having booked the other artists prior he had no choice but to play a short set. Shocker. Or maybe him playing these pre-parties at Mambo meant he wasn't up to playing for another 6 hours later in the night?

P.S Agreed, I had exactly those feelings when he walked off! :(

and if you can get through 1:38:35 - 1:44:00 for example without dropping what you're doing and jumping around the room like a loon you're a better (or more miserable ;)) man than I :D..

Thanks for this, just listen and now confirms its defo NOT for me :p:lol:
I might feel different in a club with a decent sound system and a body full of chemicals but as for cleaning up and riding my bike its defo a no go just cant get into it.
