From what I have heard, it is just that it has lost a bit of its edgy appeal and all that dark in the discoteca is probably a reflection of the music itself at the time. Calling it scary seems insulting to some of us that went, especially from certain Spaniards and their very "worldly" views of social interaction.
I just think the whole "cool" and bad to the bone act of enter might be losing a bit if its edge. I mean I remember enter 2 , Marcel detmman and Ben k. Sure , a while ago, but it was mainly guys , everyone was into it and it was wicked dark techno with some melody here and there. Surely some of that edgy appeal has diminished as time goes by.
I miss enter. I saw Richie hawtin at cocorico in Italy just 3 days ago and he was outstanding !
Huge , interesting, overpowering, intense music.
