English Sweatshops in China

It has nothing to do with demand for cheap goods. Many of these students should have been very well aware of what they are getting into. They are educated adults after all.

However, the truth is that most of these students are:
  1. Not street savvy,
  2. Live under a completely bogus idea of a utopia society, and
  3. Having no idea (or a completely wrong idea) of the rules of engagement.
Unfortunately, it appears that trend seems to that the more educated one becomes the less common sense they tend to have. As far as the Americans go, unfortunately most of these dreamers tend to hail from states like CA.
 
So true LB, people need to look at the big picture before they do something like go to teach in China. It is a nasty reality that tables have turned on the english speaking powers of England and the US, though admittedly China may have a right to take advantage of some Americans for a while...
