ELS DISSABTES AL MERCAT VELL PRESENTS: AIRES AÑEJOS
The sun is shining, the birds are singing and Spring is definitely in the Ibiza air – it can only mean one thing- it's time for ‘Els Dissabtes al Mercat Vell'. For the third consecutive year under our charge, and in an initiative led by the Town Hall of Ibiza, we are simply delighted to let you know that this Saturday 25th Feb, from 11am-2pm in la Plaza del Mercat Vell de Vila, our favourite Saturday morning activity goes into full swing right there, in the middle of Ibiza's World Heritage site.
This year, as well as our usual elements of live local music, kids activities, Es Juvert Artesania Market and the fruit, veg and flower market of the Mercat Vell itself, we've decided to bring Art into the equation with the added bonus of ‘El MercArt'.
Our plan is this- to turn La Plaza Sa Drassaneta into a space where our island artists can get together and show us their wares. From the famous to the emerging, we hope to bring you the best of what we've got in a World Heritage location like no other. Follow the arrows to the MercArt.. For our inauguration , Boke + Luchy show us what Action Painting is all about, get to the Plaza for 1pm!

But lets not forget about the New Market! For that particular shopping zone of Vila, we're bringing along the students of Ibiza's Music and Dance Conservatorio. Over the month of March, prlck up your finely tuned ears and get ready to be enthralled by the Saxo Cuartet and the Conservatio Jazz Band, not to mention a little light Chamber Music (with Strings)…. Meanwhile, taking over the streets with their acrobatic ways, Acrobati-K doing their thing.

The three events at the Mercat Nou also take place on Saturday mornings, from 11am-2pm.
