reservations for this year, heard good things but all comments are more than welcome. piccies mCPhoto?

I know people who have eaten there and said it's lovely, we've got a table booked for Saturday night so I'll give you full report when I get back Linn ;)

IG just for you ;)

The setting is absolutely beautiful, there's a little pool thing, plants etc. We had a table outside and it's really romantice, the food is what I call modern European cuisine, I had a salad to start and then ordered tuna for main but when Tom's salmon came I was jealous of his and we swapped  The food was absolutely lovely and the staff were really attentive but not overly so that they were bothering you all the time.

There were 5 of us eating, we had plenty of wine, some had 2 courses, some had 3 and mine and Tom's share of the bill was only 80 euros for us both.

Where abouts is it and do they do things like Chicken?

It's San Rafael http://www.elayoun-ibiza.com/

Err not sure about the chickies but it was a modern European menu with plenty of fish and meat dishes.

then presumably el ayoun is a bit of a misnomer. something like going to a place called tandoori nights and finding that it's a chippy!

is it not moroccan food then??

I think the meat dishes were more Moroccan, some of our party had the lamb which looked very Moroccan but my fish wasn't at all really.

I think they probably have lots of influences going on, I def wouldn't call it a pure Moroccan restaurant.

They have a moroccan and non-moroccan menu. The non-moroccan food modern european. Babs and Tom's fish dishes were non and the rest of us had moroccan. The food was excellent and the setting is lovely.

at last, someone who knows what they're talking about. thanks for your contribution cookie!
