Drone Law in Ibiza?

Quick question -

Heading to Ibiza on Monday to do some photography/filming. Wasn't going to bother take the drone but my mate's stuff all fits into our hold luggage, so he could technically take the drone as hand luggage.

What is the law around flying a drone in Ibiza? I'm familiar with UK law, but wanted to check if there's any major differences in Spain. Don't want it getting confiscated, or worse, getting a fine or something.

when we saw one our hotel called the police because some criminals use them to see if people are at home!

Do you know what the outcome was?

The same could happen in the UK, but I doubt the police would be overly interested, nor would they do anything without being able to prove you had intent to commit a crime.

It seems an odd way to check if someone is home before robbing them - you'd be better off checking on foot or driving past. A drone draws a lot of attention, as your post proves. "Innocently" walking down the street to check for empty driveways seems like a much more sensible choice if you were a burglar, though I realise most criminals aren't very smart.

For the record, I realise low swoops over the busy sunset strip would be a stupid idea, but it would be in the UK too. I'm more thinking general landscape shots/footage.

NO!

I know you need a license for commercial purposes in the UK. This is part of my question actually - is it the same in Spain or do you need a license to fly one at any point?
