Hi All, Has anyone done the drive from UK to Ibiza?? My fiancee and i are seriously debating driving accross europe for our honeymoon & ending up on our favourite white isle. Looking at Google Earth i suppose it is best to get the ferry from Alicante?? Any advise anyone could give would be appreciated.

Thank You 8)

i can feel a road trip comming on next year
would be good if we got a convoy going from people around the uk on spotlight and travelled together like the gumball rally

denia nearest port yes.but have you seen how much it is,i priced it up once when i was in benidorm.i was looking at 300 euros plus inc car,if anyone could check and let me know.

Thats about right, we paid 287E from Barcelona. Denia costs about the same.

Driving to Ibzia is never going to be cheap, you are looking at spending around £1k there and back. The cheapest way is going from France, on the toll roads / Southern France then straight to Barcelona, takes about 28 hours none stop, but then you have to match all the ferry times, so really the whole journey will take much longer (ie waiting at one port)

Best advice is to take it slow and enjoy the ride ;) Avoid the tolls. Camp in France and Spain! Takes 3-4 days. Jesus, Northern France seems to go on forever! Make sure you have a good map reader, very important :) You don't want arguments when driving around Paris :) ;)

This time last year I was about to set off on my journey
