A reminder please.

Is the card version good enough or do you get asked for paper copy (which is in a very safe place??) as well when picking up/hiring a car?

Seems to be stated everywhere you have to have both, I rented from Gold Car in May, I took both and she almost laughed when I asked if they needed the paper form and didn't even want to look at it.

I'd take it anyway

I've not been asked for the paper counterpart in Spain in years. If you get out your credit card, passport and driving licence card and hand them all over together at the same time as you show your Reservation slip they usually just get on with it pretty sharpish with no more questions asked !

Phew, found it!

I asked the missus last night 'did we not bring any pamphlets etc back when we went to Spain early this year'

Couldn't find any last night so hit that nail on the head.

Getting dressed this morning a brown paper bag was at the back of my wardrobe with 'Cartagena' emblazed on it.

I knew before looking inside that it where it would be!

Right, one more sleep then party time!
