Thinking of hiring a car for a few days but I am a terrible driver at the best of times on the left side let alone driving on the right.......

any other terrible drivers out there who conquered driving on the other side of the road ?? Haven't the new roads made getting around a lot easier?

its just a matter of making sure you stay on the right side of the road....and not to hit the door when gear changing?...apart from that you will love it.most locals cannot drive anyway.so the brits rule the road...dont drive too fast.but you will finded some are very slow at islands...infact its better driving on the left .i feel right at home...just take your time 1st few trips...and slow down a bit when you see signs...bet you with in a week.you will have your hand out window /fag in the other..just like back home....

i tell you with a week you know all the roads and short cuts....if you get lost its great .you finded your way round more...san an is good now.ibiza town can be like any other busy city.

don;t forget your british if any one pips you...one hand out of window with finger should be ok...

best to get airport to airport car hire...give yourself plenty of time to go anywhere if you not sure...skys the limit

The Ibicencos are not the best of drivers at all so you should feel right at home. It seems they think roundabouts are great places to wait for friends, look at maps and drop off passengers. Exits off of roundabouts on to a main highway are thought of as a great place to refasten dodgy loads on the back of lorries. Corners on narrow mountain roads are to be cut and to then look very surprised when they see me coming the other way. I could go on...

Don't forget the pedestrians who always step off the pavement without looking.

I was thinking of hiring a car this year, but being only 20 its hard to find a rental company, most places are over 21.Always next year!!!

Actually does anyone know how old you have to be to rent those quad bikes?
