what are the rules about walking around with alcohol.... we wnat to drink before we get to the clubs, since everything onthese boards say how expensive it is, but can we bring some with us while we wait in line in a water bottle or coke bottle or something???? we want to get ruined, but not arrested! anyone's experiences would help - thanks

That's a really good point, actually!!

my first time in June, and is there a limit on just how pickled you're allowed to be before they kick you out of the club/not let you in?

Roll on Summer......

Drink in your apartment or on a beach before you go out, we used to drink a litre of wine each before we headed out (only 93cent in your local friendly ibizan supermarket for a litre-how bad!!, an acquired taste however..)
If your desperate do the tacky bars just for a couple of hours , they're desperate to give away free drink especially to girls, to pull in the crowds.then move on to the more expensive quality bars.
I wouldn't reccomend waving a bottle of smirnoff around in the que for a club though, not cool and i doubt the doorstaff would be very impressed!!

i wouldnt recommend pissing the bouncers off, so I suggest you get pissed before pissing someone off lol* - drink cheap drinks, get flyers where you get a shot/drink for free and buy 1 drink when you get there...
the drinks usually contain LOTS of alcohol, 3 times as many as a single drink in Scandinavia, so paying 25 Euros for it isnt that bad if you really see what you get....

Whereabouts do they hand out flyers for the clubs, or is it basically everywhere on the island?

flyers are pretty much everywhere.. at any supermarket in Playa De'n bossa (where i stayed) there was a little stand full of flyers and millions of flyers on the ground .. people handing them out on the beaches.. flyers posted on walls.. trust me.. its not hard to find flyers thats for sure.

Do you have to be 18 to get into any clubs or are they pretty relaxed about it like on other islands. does anybody know and has anybody ever been asked for some ID at a club?

drinking

this my help.

their are a couple of bars in san an and sna and bay where you pay a set price and you can drink all you want for an hour. tihs basiclly means
spirits and san migual but it's a great way to start.

that's a great point Ibiza-Girlie, and something i have never seen in that light.

you'll pay 2 pounds in any UK city for a single measure. which works out at roughly 10 euros for a triple like you get here ;-)

that still doesn't justify the criminal prices for water!!

You can buy small rucksacks that hold water and have a straw coming out so you can drink it! It saved us a fortune in the clubs as we took a litre of our own water in, instead of spending ridiculous amounts of money! The bouncers didn't even notice!

and another tip:

dont spend a fortune outside cafe del mar or any of the other chill out bars! they charge a fortune for alcohol!

when we wanted to watch the sunset, me and me mates bought carryouts and sat on the beach front instead!

You can buy hats with a container stuck to the top and a plastic tube connected to the container which you can then fill with the alcohol of your choice and walk around with it wherever you want.

:D
