Drinking age?

Well, I am going to Ibiza in July 07 and I was wondering what the legal age to drink alcohol is. I will be 16. I have heard its 18, but they are very relaxed and will serve you anyways. Can anybody confirm this?

legally 18 but it's not enforced as it is in the UK, as long as you don't look 12 you'll be fine

Not that we encourage underage drinking, of course. You should have the utmost respect for the laws of your host country when traveling

Yeah, of course! i wont be stupid or anything, im just talking about a couple of drinks at night! Also, Smoking age is 18, but here in the UK it is 16, I smoke, will I still get my cigarettes?

yes you can buy them in vending machines anywhere no prob

Sad - all this interest in booze - I mean as long as I get my daily couple of decent bottles of wine and a few G&T's and whisky & ginger and a few manzana verde schnapps with a carajillo to finish I'm not really worried.........
