I have been reading online on some of the bad tripadvisor reviews on Ushuaia that drink tokens are used during the parties :?: So how does this work :?: Do I have to purchase a load of tokens on arrival and what do they cost :?:

Is it 1 token = 1€ :?:

What are the drink prices like there and if they have a token system for drinks for we need to form in an orderly queue to purchase drinks :?:

Never heard of this in Ibiza before

They do this at Ibiza Rocks hotel and at the gigs you buy tokens think it's 5 and 10 euro roullete chips that you buy your drinks with.

It's to save time at the bar but it can be a nightmare on big events like Radio 1 for example :p You end up having to queue twice for ages.

Before Ibiza Rocks opened the hotel was Club Paraiso - it was a pay as you go card system for the bar that you had to top up at reception - the bar staff were probably dipping the tills too much...

I'd forgotten about that. Had some good times at the Paraiso, though some folk were snobby about it

Thanks for the info.

Not been to Ibiza Rocks before do not used their token system. Happy to use it as long as its effective.

I was at Ushuaia for the Never Say Never opening gig, it was 8 euros for a beer and pretty sure 15 for spirit and mixer. And like other replys have said it works on a token system, service at the bar and buying tokens was swift enough that night. One thing i would say is 8 euros for what may well be a bit over a half pint of beer is major rip , get bevvied up before you head in mate.

Only place I've seen in Ibiza actually use conventional single measures for mixer drinks at the bar !!

€10 a beer
€15 Spirit + Mixer
€5 Shot

There is a token desk thin were you say what you want (5 beers) Hand them €50 and you get 5 receipts which you can use as and when at the bar to get a beer.
