Hi,

Any good recommendations in terms of accommodation, with consideration to the following requirements;

- Self Catering - All I really need is a one of them cooking rings and a fridge!!

- Quiet at night - Far enough away from the madness so that sleep can be had when desired.

- Not too far from the action - When you want to get involved it's walkable, ideally, or a short taxi-ride.

- Mix of music lovers and normal peeps/families.

- Any location really on the Island though.

Stayed in the Bellamar in San An, which was great. Cool mix of music lovers and sound individuals, plus normal holidaying families. Chilled by the pool in the day, and not a million miles away from the action. Clean and quiet at night.

Would consider it again if they have any self-catering rooms. Not sure they do though.

Any thoughts guys?

Hey,

Have a look at Marina Playa Apartments on Trip Advisor, That's where I'm staying this year.

Last year we stayed just up the road at Hotel Hawaii, which to be fair is a decent hotel with nice rooms etc (4 star this year) but very quite during the day and it's not like an apartment but rooms do have a fridge!

Also hear Burgatin (sp) is ok but again don't think they have apartments/studio

I recommend the Sal Rossa apartments in playa den bossa. Its literally right on the beach, and a good mix of families & party goers. Really nice apartments, you will get a wonderful sleep.

you didnt say what price bracket , pdb is becoming super $$$. Tivoli apartments are big and have basic cooking + fridge and a few streets back from action in pdb

I've stayed San An, Bossa, Figueretas and Talamanca.

Would highly recommend Talamanca, 25 mins walk into the center of Ibiza Town, Pacha and Destino within walking distance and its around 10/12 euro in a taxi to Bora Bora.

I know the chain that run the Bellamar have self catering place but not sure where. Esme hotels

Thanks for your posts guys. I will have a scan around at your various suggestions.

When I was browsing myself I did stumble across the Marina Playa Apartments in Figueretas. Anyone stayed here and know if it fits my ideal requirements.

Would prefer something good value (as anyone would), but would rather pay a bit more and get somewhere decent.

Bellamar is great, yer. Wonder if they might have one or two rooms with cooking facilities? Might give them an email.

Stayed in the Casa Maria in the early days, which were great as well.

My mistake. I meant the Mar Y Playa. Haha. Not even that close!!
Ok, Mar y Playa. Lost count of the number of times I've stayed there!
I reckon it fits all your requirements. If you decide to go for it a thing to think about is that there are two main buildings next to each other; Mar y Playa 1 & 2, 1 is modernised with air con and 2 isn't. There's a 3rd building on the street behind, even more modernised but no sea (or much else) views. I would say #2 which is cheaper probably has a younger clientele. Both 1 & 2 have small pools next to the prom. I've only ever stayed in #1. Recommended.
