Done my head in for years, and I always have an arguement with my mate that it doesnt.
Can anyone confirm whether it does or does not?

it has several!! just follow your nose to find them. there's a big 'debate' at the moment about where the new one for ibiza town is going to be....................

they're called depuradoras - you'll see the sign for one near dc10.

 works very well when there is a big storm, u have to nearly swim your way through the sewage plant its all over the ground yuuuck

lol obviously we dont, im saying the sewage plants are so bad the sewage does be all over the roads and drainage is so bad when a storm comes

Why would you go to a sewage plant during a storm?

... im saying the sewage plants are so bad ...
if you want to smell sewage go f.e. to talamanca-bay-area,
if you want to see sewage f.e. open your eyes (while under water)
during mainseason in the figueretas/playadenbossa-area !

ps:
renovation/expansion of sewageplants would have been much more necessary
then spending millions and millions on this dump, ugly, overdimensioned
and mostly useless fukcing "autobahn" !

talamanca - beach closed until further notice

"...

Divers working in the repair but the Government does not specify how long rupture occurred or why Neighbours reason and warn users that the sewage was discharged on Tuesday

A new outfall crossing Talamanca beach has forced the City Council to close the beach to preserve the health of users to possible contamination from the beach by sewage.

The Balearic i Water Agency Environmental Quality (Abaqua) under the Government, is responsible for this outfall. From the Department of Environment confirmed yesterday breaking it and noted that the divers tried to repair it yesterday. "They have taken some time to find the leak because it is at a distance of between 500 and 700 meters from the beach.
Technicians expect tomorrow [for today] is fixed and then the City Council will decide when the beach reopens, "said a spokeswoman for the Regional Ministry. The Government could not say yesterday when rupture occurred or what was the cause of it waiting for the divers working on the repair issue a report.

For its part, the City of Ibiza warned they had hoisted the red flag prohibiting access to the sea bathers "by the appearance of a spot about 400 yards from shore, due to a discharge from the outfall." From the Consistory explained that technicians from the Department of Environment made yesterday samples stain and water to shore for analysis and added that the lifeguards employed by the institution in charge of alerting potential swimmers so that, as a precaution, not peer into the sea.

Although the closure of the beach was declared yesterday, the neighbors had begun to warn of the situation days before so Talamanca users might have been swimming in contaminated water for more than two days.
On Wednesday a citizen went to the newspaper to warn that the day before the emissary had broken "about 150 meters off s'Illa Plana." He claimed that "the whirlwind of waste water 'could be seen from there. When that day, Diario de Ibiza Balearic contacted the Department of Environment for information on disposal that neighbors claimed was occurring on Tuesday, the response of the Government was that it was seeking a failure but had not registered no leakage. The City of Ibiza, institution also warned on Wednesday, then denied any discharge from Abaqua apparently because they assured the municipal officers who had traveled the outfall and had found no leaks.

Another citizen contacted this newspaper yesterday to warn of the situation: "The Bay of Talamanca smells like stool for three days. The water, once you get away from the swimming area has a lot of fecal matter. It is completely cloudy and the wind is doing to reach the coast where adults and children bathe. "

"It is not the first time»
Also Pedro Prison, director of the program "A sea of possibilities' that develops leisure activities at this beach for people with disabilities, said the odor was very persistent in recent days, so participants had forbidden wet above waist.

"We have been bathing without knowing there was a spill. Yesterday [on Wednesday] we suspended the activities already at sea and today [for yesterday] we have gone to s'Estanyol "he said. Ensures that discovered the existence of a "large flat spot with spurts, the size of a car 'first thing in the morning yesterday. "At nine I was addressed to the head of the lifeguards to warn and in ten minutes has come out with the motor," he said. "The lifeguard does the job, but officials outfall should not allow children to continue bathing. It is not the first time this has happened, "he reported hurt.

"It's not a leak, it is a complete rupture of the tube. This year I have noticed the same three or four large vessels that were with the anchor above the outfall. Until you signaled [the existence of the outfall by the Government with beacons or charts] boats pulled alongside the tube anchor and when gathered the broken "Prisons explains, convinced that this time, the cause of the spill has been no deterioration of the outfall itself but a ship.

The problems began "the day of the storm [Tuesday]," notes Prisons, who says that thought, using the bad weather and the absence of bathers, had taken advantage of "opening the tap" and increase the amount of waste thrown into the sea by the emissary.
'A sea of possibilities' today celebrates his farewell party, but water activities have been suspended. For its part, explained that the City Council has not cooperated with the party yesterday afternoon planned to develop a private company: "It has only been given permission to be held at the request of the Neighborhood Association."

Moreover, s'Arenal beach (Sant Antoni), closed by an oil slick, yesterday opened the beach.
