im just back last week and was going round the island on a motorbike, off road style.

the small towns i visited there was not much open, but im ure Es Cana will have a bar or 2 open.

Cala De St Vincent was lovely and had a nice wee bar open.

Don't know anything for sure, and of course things can change....
in the past Apache (or part of) has been open, also Extremadura opposite Tabac & Simpsons joint.
Couple of other places I think will be open (round the back or on the edge) ??

Ten mins walk away at Cala Nova: Ses Pedrises, open for the rest of this month, open again march.
Zen Sea,who knows? I see different things,(open all year, weekends in winter, etc) :?:

Are you going to be there this winter bossman?

Hi don thanks for repyling to my post, me and my partner having been coming to ibiza for a few years now and we love the place, Shes more obsessed than me i think lol!, We've always talked about flying out in winter and now with ryanair flying all through winter its made it easier for us to get there, I'm not sure if we will make this year though due to other commitments, do you live out there? or just a frequent visitor? cheers............oh and deepseadiver ive no idea what you mean.....lol!!!!!

bossman, I'm just a frequent visitor.
I can't think of anywhere in Es Cana you could stay in winter, might be difficult...

Long shot reply but if your not fussy about English bars not being open then you could try the Bar 3 equinox? It's a local family run place that's been open as long as i can remember (and that's alot of years) though alas i can never prenounce or remember the name properly:oops: . It can be found behind the hotel Eroso at the end of a very short road (Carrer S'Aijub?) 150m approx opposite on the left , it's a very friendly bar where one is more likely to be hearing Spanish rather than Geordie, Cockney and the such like when out of season. Failing that i'd thought St Eulalian/ San Carles or even Ibiza Town would have some English bars open during the Winter months?

Cheers

Dave,it's 'Tres Esquinas' one of my "round the back" hints, was'nt 100% sure on it being open.
Anyway, who in their right mind would go to Ibiza in winter looking for english bars :spank:

That's the one & cheers for i've been a regular in that place for a very long time for when ever visiting es canar it was alway's the first bar i along with old friends would visit for kicking off the evening. I've had many a good night their without leaving and waking up on the bar's terrace @ 10am the following day with a nasty hangover and a paracetamol on the table left by the owners and heap's of change still in my pocket;). I agree about not visiting english bars in the Winter but then again i'll say the same goes for Summer aswell, what a hypocrite i am.

Cheers

NB: My one big regret is i never learnt Spanish when i said i would and now feel at times given the years i've been going to Ibiza & Es Canar that perhap's i should've made some effort? However it's to late now as i've recently been diagnosed with suffering from a form of alcoholic dementia:cry:.

There is always Victors, Spanish bar for locals - going out of Es Cana up the hill on the left just past Camping Cala Nova. Usually 3 or 4 drinkers at any hour......................

I'm sure that the bar referred to by Tony is infact Camping Es cana and not Cala Nova unless ofcourse there's a bar in the town that i don't know about for which i doubt is the case. If so then i'll have to add it onto my bar pub crawl list when next staying at Camping Es Cana. :)
