I ride about 40 km a day ( 20 km to work and back) every day , so I'm used to the biking... but this is my holiday!

Be warned though, the is quite a steep climb just after ferry port but it's downhill the other side - wheeeeeeee.
Got a fantastic tan in just that one day too.
Bring plenty of water - once you leave ferry port area, not many shops!
Don't wear sunglasses
Bring your sun lotion too - prefereably spray
Dont wear any hairspray or gel in your hair, lol
Have fun!!

utagaura said:thanks then.. will try and get up early enough to get there so I can hire a bicycle!
utagaura said:thanks silvia... this is what i'm thinking... i don't want to do hard exercise on my bicycle.. however, i don't have a moped license (do i need one or will a drivers license suffice?), so the bicycle may be my only option

all being well i'll be visiting Formentera come next september but i won't have any difficulty for transport as i'll be on my EVO 2x gas scooter, hopefully i won't have too many problem's with the ferry company & local police etc..

sorry for that post as it was not not meant to be offensive and the chance's are that i won't even be allowed on the french rail network should the french rail controller's ask what's in my rather oversized sportsbag as i will be declaring it on buying my rail ticket to Barcelona as a bicycle . But i believe in being independant & by having one's own form of transport then that independence can make a holiday all the more worthwhile, without the hassle of hire companies etc. I'm intrigued too find out out how much Ibiza & Formentera has changed over the year's.
