I've just put my top five in, not especially my favourite DJs but the people I think have contributed most to the scene this year:

1.Steve Lawler (Space Terrace residency, consistency)
2.Deep Dish (Flashdance)
3.Mark Knight (production/remix quality)
4.Eric Prydz (production/remix quality)
5.Pete Tong (crap mixing, great radio shows)

Grant Nelson (hard working, great production)
Nic Fanculli (One of the busiest djs/producers)
Martin Solveig (As above)
DJ Gregory (As above, as above)
Tiesto (not my cup of tea, but very hard working and deserves acknowledgement)

surely being crownd "the best dj" for two years running is enough. someone else deserves the "title" now.

its not a good reflection anyway. the great djs never win, but the most popular djs win.

if people are voting for him in numbers, he'll be there or there abouts.

i said nothing about him being the world's best dj, but he has (again) worked very very hard this year ALL over the world, and in the studio.
he may not be the most technically gifted dj, but as he has promoted himself to the public (the voters) in such a way, he surely can't be overlooked.

i personally think someone else should win if they deserve it and as a funky house dj myself, for me to put tiesto in my shortlist must mean something about his dedication to the dance music scene in the last twelve months.

I still mean to vote, but the ones that have done it for me most this year have been:

Laurent Garnier
David Guetta
Pete Tong
Paul Van Dyk (first 6 months anyway)
Armand Van Helden
