Not sure about Cola being the track of the season....Way to radio friendly it just doesn't work in a club for me personally

I get that, but I think both the Franky Rizardo and MousseT remixes work well in some clubs.

I was at Defected in Eden on 17 Sep. Franky Rizardo turned up & played an unplanned short set. The crowd loved it and knew what was coming - when he dropped his Cola remix, the place erupted.

OK, so it's certainly radio friendly, but give the people what they want, put smiles on their faces and send them home happy :) . . . . . if they can find their home ! ;)

The Franky Rizardo remix is a little better to dance too but it is still toilet

There really isn't a tune of the season they are just selecting the most recognised played tune in my opinion

The other tune I heard being played often was Claptone - The music got me Darius remix and that blows Cola out the bottle. Though it is a remix of a song which is a couple of years old

Bicep have got some stunning tunes out recently

Maybe a conversation for another thread but i dont understand Franky Rizardo at all. Listened to his essential mix on a flight to chicago last week and it had zero flow to it (sometimes deep house, sometimes techno/ish tracks with vocals, sometimes very EDM sounding). Is this the type of sound Defected plays in general? To each their own but very much so not for me.

That Darius remix of The Music Got Me totally blows Cola out of whatever you can think of. 100% agree. Claptone's more recent The Drums does the same.
IMO, ID's Troy is even better but didn't get any recognition.

The popular wins out over the credible - same every year. Nothing wrong with something lighter like Cola though - everything has it's time & place.
