After an incredible first year on the Lamp's terrace in 2007, Different Language return with a massive opening Bank Holiday Sunday party on 23rd March at the Lamp 2pm - 9pm. This time we've invited Hypercolour head honchos Cedric Maison and Alex Jones up to rock the decks at Hull's most original and biggest daytime party.
Hypercolour is the brainchild of Cedric Maison aka Jamie Russell and Alex Jones and has quickly become one of the most exciting underground labels in the UK today. Hypercolour boasts some amazing artists in the label family including Glimpse, Shenoda, Sebastien Bouchet (Freak n'Chic), Mohan Das aka Frankie Flowerz (Crosstown Rebels), Jaxson, Jens Bond, Matt Star, Danton Eeprom, Warbgasm, Husley & Gunz.
Cedric Maison is a resident DJ at the Digital in Brighton, promotes the 'underground' Playground parties, has parties across London including EGG, The Key, 333, Turnmills and has had massive guests over the years including Paul Woolford, Desyn Masiello, Damian Lazarus, Pier Bucci, John Dahlback, 16b, Phil Kieran, Funk D'Void and recently Marc Romboy and Pig & Dan amongst many more.
Alex Jones is one half of the DJ duo The Insurgents and is an accomplished Producer with serious productions and remixes on the likes of Viva Music, Hypercolour and Turbo Recordings. Alex is also causing waves on the DJ circuit with guest slots throughout the UK at clubs such as Aquarium, TBAR, EGG, The End and has now taken Germany by storm with regular slots in the techno capital of Europe, Berlin.
They'll be CD giveaways, drink promotions, special lighting and the terrace & indoor bar area decorated in a stylish Moroccan theme. The Terrace Party is FREE before 4pm and only £1 after.
The party will be raising funds for the St. Andrew’s Children’s Hospice with a donation from the door fee along with collections on the day. Full details of the charity can be found at www.standrewschildrenshospice.co.uk
Support as always comes from Different Language and the Work DJs.
We are the official Déjà Vu pre party and only a two minute walk from the Welly Club - the perfect place to warm up for the massive Déjà vu Bank Holiday party.
This is is not to be missed and we hope to see you there!
The Terrace Party event can be covered in the event of rain and fully heated with brand new gas heaters in cold weather.
