alright so the opening party date has been confirmed already a few days ago - 27th may.

and in regards to the questions as to whether there will be parties at destino this year, a few days ago destino posted on facebook

although them opening the same day as IMS dalt vila party is a weird one me thinks...

One of the best thing about the Rumors concept was the concealed line-up - even if they did make the hints on their social media channels a bit obvious. Why Gerber decided to ditch his USP i have no idea. It worked because it was unique - at least in the current scene - and did what it said on the tin.

it worked in playa d'en bossa, where several thousands of people up for a party are in close proximity and could simply walk down the beach to beachouse.

I might be wrong (and we'll find out rather soon), but I think they are aware that it's not going to be that easy for them to get the hordes to RUMORS now. so I believe the fact they've announced sunday's guest and generally have given a preview about who's gonna play is part of tactics. same as the free entry. I am sure that, if rumors keep going as well as it did at beachouse, they'll stop announcing the guest and will probably also start charging entry at some point. I have no insider knowledge here, this is just pure guessing.

Solid speculation as ever ;)

Fair enough if its all part of the plan. I personally can't see it being anything other than a success.
 
I think the one big thing Rumors has going for it is Solomun +1 at Pacha following it, so it makes it easy if you aren't staying nearby to swing by Rumors and then take your time getting over to Pacha in its close proximity. I was very surprised that this party was going to be free at Destino, but as stated that could always change if the mega success is still there. I love the idea of checking out Rumors and heading down to Pacha for the start of the +1 guest.
 
aah...hmmm. I think right now they won't. but depending on the success of the party they might start running them, who knows.
