Deep Dish - Dreams

I've been trying to figure this out... has this song been kicking around for a long time (as in long before George Is On was released) or did someone else do a very good (dare I even say... better) remix of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" a couple of years ago?

My favorite Fleetwood Mac tune either way... sometimes it's nice to hear on the dance floor (usually in a very very late night wasted sing-along mood )

Deep Dish have been playing it for ages, long before George.... was released, been a signature tune of theirs for a long while.

Looks like they recorded it with Stevie Nicks about a year ago.... still seems like there was another version floating around before that.

But the version is different than the one I'm thinking of... it could just be other mixes of the Deep Dish version, or someone else has done a mix as well...

Deep Dish have been playing it in various guises at least 4 years ago so that might be what you heard if it was Deep Dish playing it.

oops... didn't see your reply before i edited.

Well, that would make some sense then but if that's correct then I wonder if the remixed (i.e. without new vocals) version is floating around.

The Corrs did a cover of it ~5 years ago, which was all over the radio in a danced up version. Sadly, I can't listen to this Deep Dish tune without thinking of The Corrs... :? Mouldy old rock stars and dance don't mix well anyway IMO.

Which version did they play? Following the discussion above, I've grown increasingly attached to the Axwell mix.

Not really sure, it was quite close to the radio verison they play I think. Ive actually recorded a video clip of it on my phone but im useless with putting things on the web etc :?

Another dance version was released in 1995 *showing my age!!*. I think i prefered it to the Deep dish release!

It was released by Wild Colour on Perfecto - i remembed as i especially loved the BT's Circadian Dream remix which was 11m45s long! (oh how I miss the days of epic - [get another drink before it gets going..] house!)

You can find it on BT - "10 Years in the Life Disc 2" flangetastic
or as a single here:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000005WLK/qid=1146590129/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_8_1/202-4732890-5210241

You can listen to Amazons samples and judge for yourself.. so its not Fleetwood Mac, but sometimes the original vocal doesn't suite House!

Deep Dish have done and will continue to make great tracks but why did they release this? mind you Axwell can turn almost anything into a great track... can't wait to see him @ Cream Ibiza!

I think once they got Stevie Nicks to re-record the vocals, Deep Dish pretty much had little choice but to release it as a single.

I'll check out that Wild Colour version... I'm curious if it's the one I had heard earlier.
