Hi, I am heading to Es Cana for a week next month, I will be "doing" the hippy market on the Wednesday but does anyone have any other suggestions for a trip, wouldn't mind going out on a boat for the day but so not into booze cruises etc, can I get a boat to say ibiza town for the day?

thanks in advance:p

Cheers Stephen, will check it out, was also looking for personal recommendations.

None seem to say where they leave from, was looking for one specifically from es cana returning there also, maybe I'm just in thick mode.

HI There,

You can get the ferry to Ibiza town and then perhaps I would suggest a visit to Formentera for a full day out. I can't remember if you can get the ferry direct from Es Cana to Formentera but it's goes via Ibiza town anyway. I am also sure there are many boats in the harbout that will "beach hop" to most of the resorts.

Can you drive? Would also suggest that you hire a car - I am doing so for the first time this year and am looking forward to it.

I love going on the boats though - great way to see the island...

If you struggle to get any boat trips from Es Cana then get a bus to Ibiza town and at the harbour there are boats that will take you to most places on the island.

Enjoy your holiday x

Thanks for the advice people, I'm off to get booking, not wasting this holiday with hangovers and doing nothing!

I drive badly here so ain't going to try abroad:lol:

I am dreading driving as I have only driven in Rhodes before, never Ibiza. It wouldn't bother me so much but there is 6 of us so I will need to hire a people carrier and the roads are scary - would be ok in a normal car but I will be in a big bus!

Hope you find loads of nice things to do...I am sure you will :)

..... and make sure you drive in the middle of the road too whilst on a mobile phone and gesticulating madly to the passenger travelling with you.... I seriously thought we were gonna die when driving round the north of the Island and one of these guys was driving towards our Astra at a rate of knots.....8O8O8O8O

well then you're ideally suited to be behind the wheel of a 5 litre jeep here.

Are dents obligatory on vehicles in Ibiza? We felt very much out of place in our hire car, without a single mark anyehere. On our last day, we went to Cala d'Hort and watched in disbelief as a BMW did a three point turn and on ever manoeuvre the BMW bumped a parked car before driving off at speed!
