we´ll do most probably

14:30 17:00 Sasha
16:00 16:30 NU NRG LIVE
17:45 19:15 Chris Liebing
18:30 19:30 Eddie Halliwell
19:30 21:30 Ferry Corsten
18:30 21:30 Armin Van Buuren
21:30 23:00 Paul van Dyk

that (yes, it´s overlapping) should work even considering that it is quite some distance from Armada to HQ for example.

Won´t take our timetable too serious, though, except for the finishing set of Paul.

Just hope that the weather will get a bit better - nothing like dancing in the sun 8)

Can't afford flights :( Supposed to be my birthday outing as well

Have a couple of tickets for sale if anyones interested? Can sell individually. Full weekend tickets with camping.

I recommend forgetting all about schedules. I've tried for years to stick to one, and always by 14:00 things had taken a completely different turn. Last few times I just went. Didn't look at the dj roster, but let the event surprise me. Felt a lot better, and I did things I never would have planned! Last year I spent about half the day (10:12 - 17:00) lying in the grass listening to goa... Sure I missed some BIG name DJs, but I had an amazing time nonetheless.

Just come and be happy. The rest will sort itself out. Well... maybe bring a disposable poncho for when torrential rains start. And DON'T wear your best outfit and shoes! Wear things that are comfy and afterwards disposable. If it rains the terrain ends up in the biggest pool of mud ever, especially the pit at Mainstage 1. :)

If you bump into a rather wide guy in the Renaissance area, with Disco Stu (from the Simpsons) on his shirt: that's me. If you bump into someone with the identical shirt somewhere else: probably me too, as I'll probably be gallivanting across the terrain quite often. :P

always think positive - it´s gonna be hot, sunny and the likes, like last year :)

same with Mysteryland 2003 - it was raining in Purmerland until 11am, we started from a friend´s house and as soon as we were on the parking lot at Mysteryland: blue sky, sun, warm, everything ok until late at night :)

but we´re taking those ponchos, too - just in case ;)

Goa - this year the goa area is in a tent, I read? Hmm... might make for some interesting decoration, I think. And with Infected Mushroom... hm, worth a look at least.

Or the morning of the year before: Rain all the way from home until we arrived at the gates. It's 9:50 and we've not seen one single ray of sunshine. The entrance DJ puts on his first record and suddenly BLAM! Full-on sunshine! Magical moment. :D

but we´re taking those ponchos, too - just in case ;)
Great to sit on too. :)

Dance Valley 2005 (near Amsterdam, Holland, 06.08.2005)
Facts: 10:00 - 23:00, 40.000 tickets sold for saturday, over 160 DJs, quite a lot of "big names" (check the lineup at www.dancevalley.nl )
Pics from various digital cameras (eg Casio Z55 and Z30)

Quick trip from Hamburg, everything just fine and totally in our time planning - until 20km suddenly complete traffic jam. Short vor: "No, we are not taking that totally free extra lane on the left side, but we´ll stay on that totally jammed right three lanes." Oh well...
Finally managed to get off the highway and after a very interesting journey through the Dutch countryside we arrived at our hotel only 90min delayed. Quick refresh and then to the shuttle busses at Sloterdijk. 20mins drive and a 2km walk later we finally were at the Dance Valley, around 15:30. Short orientation (too bad, this time no map in the timetable), got one of the lockerboxes for a jacket and then off to the meeting with our friends.

At the entrance quite a lot of mud ... between 10-15cm, with water on top. The Openair-Floors Armada and Global were in pretty bad condition, but Mainstage and HQ pretty dry and absolutely ok for dancing.

Eurogrooves Tent
Eurogrooves.jpg

At Eurogrooves Tent we only heard the last couple of tracks of Randy Katana, and I was quite busy with checking around, getting drinks and the like.
NU NRG live - at the latest at Freefall everything was good again, the traffic jam forgotten and we felt home at Dance Valley again ;)

Met with JP and Frieda from Amsterdam, but they were just at Eurogrooves to say hello and were off to another stage.
Met some guy again who danced from 12:00 - 22:00 at our GTA @ Planet Pro Berlin truck early July - it´s a small world.

Too lazy to change locations, so we stayed for a while at Adam Sheridan. Began quite nice, but suddenly a lot slower and not so "bouncy".

_Cimg4667.jpg

So off to find the others. Walked past Armada Stage with Markus Schulz, then through the bottleneck up on the hill, short session with Deep Dish, back to the Global Stage.

Lots of mud, not funny. Heard a bit of Marco Bailey, then Chris Liebing = nice! Really looking forward to the Meganite :)
Suddenly in front of me we found Marcel, who we tried to reach all day via phone, but couldn´t reach.
Over to the Armada Stage for the first track of Armin van Buuren. Hm, Stage looked very nice, cool idea with the ship and the flame throwers, but overall too slow ;)

Double quick away from there, this time totally stuck in the bottleneck. On top of the hill then photo session.

Finally off to HQ. H, what can I say? Eddie Halliwell really rocked it!
Blue sky. Sun. Helicoptere. Flowers. Aaargh!!!

Proteus

Next DJ was Proteus - extremely cool! At some point then a bit too heavy for us, and we needed to get some food and actually wanted to meet with Marcel at the Concept Tent for Preach. But after a small StuKa-Flight of Frank and me we finally decided - no chance! Again the bottelneck? No music? And missing out on HQ? NO WAY! So back again to Proteus and afterwards Organ Donors Dex n FX... mind you, I´m normally a fluffy trance, Armin and PvD - but this was
quality!

Around 21:15 we went over to the Mainstage to meet with the others. Heard the last track of Ferry Corsten and then Paul van Dyk - very nice! But so slow ;)

I died of course as he dropped For an Angel, then even with an encore, and then was the Dance Valley already over. 7h - and we didn´t know where the time went. Of to the entrance, short visit at Lockerboxes and then the long way back to the bus again. Home at the hotel around 2:00.

- not enough decoration: the entrance was very poor compared to last year, Mainstage and HQ weren´t great either
- Sound: at Mainstage - hm, you had to stand quite in front of the stage. And then only 2 Groundsupports half way up the hill, with the Linearrays only to the back?! Same at HQ - last year it was Götterdämmerung, this year a lot less
- no mirrorball illuminated with lasers from below this year ;)
- arriving on Friday is a lot better
+ as usual at Dutch parties met a lot of nice people
+ Saturday it was dry from 16:15 on. And later blue sky and sun!
+ Flower rain. Blumenregen. indescribable.
+ proven Party-Crew. Ibiza, we´re coming!
+ Laser. Lots of them.

Dance Valley - cu next year!
