Damo, etal, death to Vinyl?

Yeah i saw these pics and they made me all warm inside! I want some!! That mixer looks nice too! I like the metal scratch plate :)

Our humble resident stu hirst is gunna be playing at turnmills on the launch night the lucky bugger! I still like the feel of vinyl even though i dont use it as much. I think this will have a major impact but i still reckon the current generation super dj's will keep with 12" for a lil while yet :)

But then what about the new boys with the new DZ1200 and CDs? Will they overtake the 'super dj's'?

Well i dunno bout that but i just mean the current flock are gunna get too old for the game at some point and the v new dj's are gunna see cds as the easy option. :)

what do you guys think about people possibly cheating by burning sets and simply playing them at the venues? An mp3 disc can hold 800 megs of music.

8O 8O 8O I want one now..... This has been happening ages now with the whole death to vinyl thing. I'm sorry I can't see it happening just yet because the technics 1200/1210 are just in every venue (hopefully) you would play as a dj. Whereas with the cd machines, you don't know what you're gonna get. These babies look the biz but what happens when you're in a club with only 8 year old Denon's or similar. I think that dj's and the like should be competent on both cd's AND vinyl and keep a healthy mix between the two. Vinyl looks better and cd's are more versatile....

I'll get off the soapbox now.

As for people cheating I don't think any dj in their right mind would do that as every crowd reacts differently and you need to react with them. Plus you'd be standing there doing nothing for 2 hours!!!! Who'd do that ??????

I'll let you know how I get on with them in a few weeks, but they look awesome !!!

It's first on my shopping list for May or whenever they come out.

On the vinyl/cd debate, vinyl will be around for a few years yet !!!
